Most girls know it isn't the easiest thing to find a hairdresser that you are comlpetely happy with, especially when you have crazily long hair like me. I can now say that I have managed that feat! Trish and the girls here are all really friendly and welcoming. When I told them how far I had travelled they were astounded. I didn't tell them any of my hair horror stories because I just wanted to see what they would do. I wanted to go with some highlights and though it's time consuming I've always had the foils rather than the painful cap - yes I'm a wimp. Emma, my stylist, had a good chat with me and she suggested I try a different type of cap that she has been using for years which is virtually pain free. I'll admit I wasn't keen, especially at hearing the word 'virtually' but I agreed to let her go ahead. How thankful was I? There's always going to be sensitive areas but this 'magical' cap worked wonders. 2 hours later (rather than the 4 and a half hours I was used to) my cut and colour was complete. It looked so good I welled up slightly (something they tease me about now). I cannot rate Elegant Hair any higher. They always do exactly what I want in an atmosphere of giggles and relaxation. If I can make the effort of 2 hours then you should really give it a go!

The workers there are not qualified and do not speak a word of English, and have been ILLEGALLY employed (UNPROFESSIONAL!) I came in to get my eyebrows done and the lady ruined them completely she was too busy chatting away to her friend and took 30 minutes to do them which is far too long in my opinion. She made gaps in my eyebrows and completely took off my arch. My eyebrows are quite thick and already in shape they just needed tidying up, half of my eyebrows were gone! When I told her she ruined the shape completely she went into shock and said ' 50p off' - NO I don't want your poxy 50p back I just want you to focus on doing my eyebrows correctly in the first place and provide good customer service! I had to stop her halfway because I knew she was not focusing, I had to tell her twice to focus. I've got a wedding tonight and I'm not happy! I complained to the owner (Indian guy, fat with spiky dark hair) and he said 'your eyebrows were like that already' - where is the logic in that? What does a rude arrogant man know when he just knows how to rob his customers. He then proceeded to call me a P*KI and flare up the situation and i'm not even Pakistani lol - what an idiot. It's the only salon I ever go to, to get my hair weaved. I used to go to one of the hair salons near by to get my hair weaved, and one day they couldnt do it and recommended this one, I felt a bit scared at first, because it was a salon I've never been to before, and I thought they wouldn't be as good as weaving. But it was perfect :D. And I've been going there ever since. It's so afforable as well ! :D I'm 16 and dont get that much money at the minute, because I have no job. Well I called to book ahead just in case they were too busy for walk ins and that was pretty simple and I had no trouble in getting a date and time that was convenient for me. When I went for my appointment the staff were really friendly and very welcoming. I did not have to wait too long before the nail technician was ready. I really liked the décor inside; the walls are simple but detailed with red and black pictures inside, which I think looks really good! The manicure itself was good and they had a nice selection of colours to choose from. Overall, I was very pleased with my nails and the quality of the service. I will definitely go again.

A friend and I went here to get our bits waxed before we went on holiday. The salon wasn't the most stylish that I'd ever been in, but it was clean so it was more than suitable. There were a few products available to buy in the reception area but we didn't buy anything. Once I was laying on the bed, calming music started to play in the back ground and the beautician got to work. She kept checking that the wax wasn't too hot which I think it really important as I have been burnt before! I was really impressed with the whole waxing and it was done as quick and as painless as possible which is all you can ask for when you're in pain being waxed!

My first impression of the room weren't that good but I try not to judge a book y its cover. She began the waxing session by applying the hot wax and at first I was like "AAAHHH" and Classical FM playing in the background didn't make me feel more relaxed. Soon things got better though and I was pleased to know the treatment went quick. A few hairs were left probably because they weren't noticeable. I felt a bit uncomfortable with her bare hands touching my bare skin purely because I didn't know whether they were clean or not and didn't want to be rude by asking. So I think wearing latex gloves would've been better. The whole session cost less than thirty pounds with actually shocked me in a good way, especially because the service was great.

I requested a medium brown colour to lighten my hair from light black-one shade down. I sat for 7 hours to get my colour done twice and there was a band of orange in my hair at the end of this timeframe. I did not complain as these things happen. I was reasonable and agreed to come back the next day. I waited for 30 minutes to be seen and it took a further 3 hours. No apologies throughout. I had to pay for childcare as I was so embarrassed about my hair. I am very open to mistakes occurring as long as management apologise to some degree. The manager told me 'what did I expect.-colour took time'. The salon set my expectations that the colour would take a three hour session prior to initially being seen. I had also been going to them for colour prior to this. I actually went to another hairdressers a week later who rectified the issue quickly. I felt so low by the way the manager spoke down to me and to his staff in front of me. The upstairs sinks also scalded my scalp twice but I didn't even mention this. Overall, lovely girls and nice flowers, but don't be fooled, the owner is clearly not open to customer feedback. Go here if you want to back someone who clearly disrespects women. When booking my appointment back in March I was told that I couldn't book a Saturday as the salon was very busy and the voucher was really for weekdays. It did not state that in the T&C's, I finally booked an appointment for 5th May at 10am. I turned up at 9.50am and the salon was shut, sat outside until 10.50am and no one turned up!
