Short line to get in and crowded with cute 20, 30 40 somethings - what's not to love! Stylish décor and lighting with the main bar right in the middle of everything, although the sexy bartenders really need to learn how to 1) work faster, and 2) in order. I waited way too long to get a Jack on the Rocks, Bud Lite and Coke for friends. Next time I'll skip the main bar and head to the one near the back dance floor or upstairs and I'm definitely trying one of the signature drinks. The music was fun - stuff you've heard recently - and the DJ mixed it well to keep people on the smallish dance floor without blasting you out of the place....perfect for flirting and leaning into the cute boy next to you and telling him he's a hot dancer. Love this place! I spend my 21st birthday here so it is a special place for me. I have always had a great time here with friends and meeting new people. Good music and the upstairs is a good place to chill in-between dancing. I know several of the bouncers and go-go dancers and they are all quite friendly people just be respectful to them. Last Saturday, went to check out Beaux. Returning *The restroom were fully stocked & clean. Light flooding some times, long line during weekends. *Bussers- their Bussers are really good in cleaning up after their guests. From empty glass to shattered/spilled drinks on the floor. Lighting- wish they have better lighting system. Bartender are average when it comes to making drinks. 3/5 star. Always have a wait. Ambiance- it's always busy, packed. The floor plan is still awkward, the flow is always tied up, sitting area/dancing area? Chairs are bulky. Security are okay, too many. What a fun experience for my best friends bachelorette party UNTIL the manager kicked us out stating that they "have a strict no bridal paraphernalia policy" after 45 minutes of us buying drinks and dancing. I started coming here about a month ago and was pleasantly surprise by how nice the place is. I was there on Thursday for happy hour. The environment was very chill and friendly. There's comfortable room for you to sit and hangout. There's also a dance floor if you feeling rocking it. There were many options for drinks. You can do 2-4-1 or try one of their fancy special cocktails. It's just nice to have a place in the Castro to hangout with other women. The short white woman who apparently (but definitely shouldn't be) managing the club was extremely rude to my friends who were new to SF. We came early and the club was slow and we spent at least $65 dollars at the bar and she had an issue with us (no, we were not stupid and drunk it was our first stop). either way I won't be returning unless I find out she's moved on from beaux. It's unfortunate because I've had such sweet bartenders and met great folks there in the past. Music, dancers, and bar tenders were friendly so I can't give less than 2 stars read more

I love going to Beaux! I avoided it for a couple of years, only because I was a hold out from the Detour days...But once I gave it a shot, I really like their happy hour. I don't go later on in the evening, so I can't attest to that. But happy hour is FUN! Gavin, Sebastian, Vinnie...they know how to take care of their customers and make it a friendly atmosphere for all. This post is dedicated to Aaron: Everytime I've been to Beaux, it has yet to fail me. I love to dance to top 40s and hip hop in the Castro and Beaux is THE SPOT. As a dancer, I love good music and Saturdays are the days I find myself enjoying Beaux. The space is intimate and the bartenders were so sweet to me. Recently, I experienced above and beyond quality hospitality! The go-go dancer, Aaron, took care of me and my cousins the whole entire night. Aaron is confident and a kind spirit, there's definitely more underneath the surface. He even walked us out goodbye like a gentlemen. Go see him dance on Fridays! Just got home from the lamest 12 minutes of my life. It started off immediately with the cashier's attitude. I guess he was trying to make jokes, but they came off just plain bitchy. When you huff and puff because I gave you a $20, then say "really babe?" I will play along with your bitchy joke by saying "just making you work", but then to say "here you can have this ugly, old $5 bill for change" just crossed the line into rude and snarky. FYI, I've clubbed in many major world cities including Paris, NYC, Ibiza and Tokyo, where you would think there would be attitude, but I have never experienced the level of attitude like tonight. I hope the owner reads this because my negative impression translated into me mentally breaking down this new spot as Trigger only darker, same crowd, and trying to make LA happen in SF. We were there two nights in a row. First night was fun, but the music was a bit slow and dated. Yet, after a few drinks and go go's dancing and Tranny's walking around well who can't have fun! Will admit that the fact they charge at the door and that drink prices are a bit higher than some of the other bars on the Castro is a bit discouraging. All in all worth the visit as we returned a 2nd night. Just beware once it all ends. Call your ride or leave because they do not want you in front of the club. First night we had issues, 2nd night we made sure to call car to avoid issues. Staff was much nicer the 2nd night but then again we knew better. Lol do recommend you visit here. read more

The bartenders are all really great looking and the space is clean and well designed. SImple sexy and not tacky like a lot of the other places around the area. Maybe there's some fresh paint and a new flat-screen TV here and there, but it's still a dank and depressing place to spend a Saturday night. Beaux charges a $4 cover. I can't figure out what it pays for. It definitely wasn't for the music the DJ was spinning, which sounded like cats dying. It definitely wasn't for the bartenders, who were too busy flexing and admiring their own physiques to actually pour a drink. And it definitely wasn't for a lively crowd, which was nonexistent. (What Castro bar is dead at 1am on a Saturday night?) So, what exactly did the $4 cover pay for? Here with my friend on her 21st birthday and buy 2 drinks; 15 minutes later standing here calling for the only bartender at the bar for about 2-4 minutes. Place is completely empty and he cannot hear me so I attempt to get his attention by throwing a straw in his vacuity. I didn't mean to be rude, but I really needed the water as I felt like vomiting. He turns around and yells at me like I'm some dog after asking him if I could please have some water and apologizing for the throwing the straw. That guy was a complete asshole and tells me "NO, you CANNOT have water" especially for their club being dead all night... I guess HE might be one of the reasons it is EMPTY.
