I didn't end up needing it. They just made it incredibly simple to buy a car. I rolled in with my old car on a Friday morning. I knew what I wanted, and the sales person took me out on a quick test drive while they did an appraisal on my trade in. Then came the part I was prepared for...the negotiation. I was ready to play hardball. To my surprise there was no foursquare. No pressure. No hard sale. I was able to easily negotiate to get the price where I wanted. During the negotiation the sales person told me regarding my offer "If we can't get it there, at least we can part as friends." The trade in price on my car was fair, and what I was expecting. The financing part, again, was simple. No hard sale on extras. Just sign a few papers. The whole process was so easy, in fact, that the most time consuming part was waiting for my new car to come back from getting washed and detailed! Beyond the buying experience, their service department is great as well. My wife has taken her Pontiac there for a couple of years. We will often call around and get pricing quotes from different garages, and Ballweg often has the best price for service and does quality work. Car dealerships have a reputation of being sleazy and manipulative in both sales and service to get the most from their customers.
