I'd only had it in Ottawa. They have others in BC just not in Vancouver. It's a small stand so it's tight but it opens to the street so it feels bigger. On your birthday, you get a free beaver tail which retails probably closer to $10. You get to have the original but my favorite favorite flavor is the original with a lemon on it so they gave that to us for free for my mom's birthday. You must visit the spot if you're in Victoria yes it is a little touristy, but it is a very good product and the staff is super friendly. read more

Definitely wanted to try their pistachio one too though but didn't get the chance. The fried dough base was delicious! Crisps on the edges, and soft in the middle. The brownie consist of chocolate hazelnut spread, then topped with warm brownie chunks, a drizzle of chocolate sauce, and a sprinkle of powdered sugar. Conveniently located within Downtown Victoria, its one of those cheap snack/ dessert franchises you have to hit up just because it exists. I visited Beaver Tails for the first time with a friend of mine as this was highly recommended to me for when I visited Canada. I ordered the "Mehple" which was just maple and powdered sugar and she got the strawberry cheesecake. I wasn't sure what to expect from a Beaver Tail but I reminded me of a funnel cake.
