Dave re-roofed an older home for me 9 years ago, did a great job which has stood the test of time. Recently I asked him to inspect the roof on a new home I built 4 years ago, after the fire arrester blew off the chimney in the recent winds and I was afraid it had damaged the roof. Dave came to our rescue when an ice dam formed on our roof after severe weather, causing extensive damage. He spent over five hours on a Sunday breaking it up, helping to mitigate any further damages. As soon as he had 5-6 days of clear weather in between snow storms, him and his crew were there replacing half of our roof. They did a great job, very professional and friendly. We just recently had Beckett Roofing reroof our home in BBL. Dave and his crew did an outstanding job. They we courteous and very friendly. Every day they showed up on time and worked though the entire day only breaking for their one hour lunch. Once they stripped the roof there was additional damage found. He went above and beyond on everything, but also on our window frames (replacing them with high quality materials) which was not even in the contract! This rating is based on customer service - not work performed... let me explain. I called Dave at Beckett Roofing regarding a leak coming from our roof. He explained how busy he was but said he would take a look. All other roofing companies in the area would not even do that. As promised Dave inspected our roof and provided detailed pictures of issues and provided a quote for repairs. We decided to put off the repairs at this time - trying to get one more season out of the roof before we replace it. We have owned our vacation home for 10 years and a small leak developed on the wall of one of our bathrooms. Not knowing the condition or the age of our roof I feared the worst. Dave came out for an inspection and informed us our roof was in good shape. As well he advised me that the small leak could be fixed with some Henry's patch. I had an issue with water dripping from my ceiling and David came out to take a look at it within an hour of messaging him. He diagnosed the problem immediately, and while he wasn't able to fix it because the roof was not the cause of the problem, he told me who I could call to get it taken care of. I asked how I could compensate him for his consultation and he refused to charge me for it. Needless to say if and when I have issues with my roof, David will the be the first one I call. read more

I got some bids from other roofers, David Beckett was one of them. He was very professional, got back to me with a fair estimate rapidly, committed to a schedule and kept to it. I checked with several of his references from previous jobs, some of who were in the contracting business themselves, and they were very high on him, which I found well justified. He did a superb job, including cleanup. First time I have not had a flat tire on my car after major contracting work! There was an unexpected rainstorm part way through the job but he got it well buttoned up before the storm hit; some minor leakage caused a little staining which he took care of superbly. I just had an issue with some potential damage to the edge of the roof by another contractor, 6 months after David did the roof. I called him on a Friday evening of a 3 day holiday weekend, and he was out first thing the next morning. Can't say enough good things about him. read more
