So perhaps they aren't super organized. After I sat down, I ordered beer and it came. Then I sat there for an uncomfortably long time without anyone coming to see if I wanted to order food. Someone finally came to take my order. A table that was seated after me was able to order and get their food before I could even place my order. When the staff was present, the service was great, but it took me a long time to get through this meal and to get out due to all the waiting. Be ready for this if you choose to come here.

In addition to other guests, there was a group of 12 guys who were on a bachelor party. I'm mentioning this because they were very disruptive but that's not Jürgen's fault and he did his best with the situation. There is a brewing room that you walk through with explanations of the different stages of the beer brewing process. In the back is a tasting room and most of the tour took place there. We all sat around a table while the guide poured and explained the beers. There appears to be a slideshow and we looked at some of the slides that identified the three beers we tried but I think because the slides were in German, we didn't see the full presentation. The tour was a nice diversion and although I have been on many brewery tours, I still learned something from this one, particularly about German beer. After the tour, your hand stamp gets you a discount in the gift shop.

Portions were on the larger side, and the prices seemed to be above average, but all everything tasted good! They also make craft beer, and the one I tried was A-okay! Not the most heart friendly meal, but what the heck, I don't visit Germany every month! Once is 30 years must be okay! ;) Lots of seating inside, and covered tables outside. We ate our lunch during the weekday and we could just walk up without any reservations. So a nice (very filling) experience for me!

Great house-beers too…read more Personally I don´t care much about the decor but that´s all forgotten when I sit down to have one of their beers and a plate piled high with delicious, simple, german food. Service is quick too, could be friendlier though. Don´t let the decor scare you away - you want this. Trust me.
