Absolutely amazing hotel stay before my cruise. This hotel is clean, convenient to shopping and…read moreplenty of restaurants/bars. Walking distance to a Publix, the mall, bakery, etc. The hotel checkin is on the 6th floor, the first floor is mainly a seating area and concierge. They offer free hot breakfast, mini fridge and microwave in the room, cruise shuttle at time of this review is priced at $12 with pick up times at 10a, 11a, and 12p. If you miss breakfast, they had breakfast bags with fruit and other grab and go items. You will need your room key to access the laundry room and guest floors. There is no carpet in the room I was in (basic king- not the elite level) and pets are not allowed. Service animals only. The hotel has a lobby bar, three restaurants are located right next door (Sproutz, Batch Gastropub, and Shahs of Kabob). I dined at Sproutz and Shahas of Kabob and both are good, but they are not affiliated with the hotel. I stayed 3 nights prior to my cruise and I really enjoyed my stay. The air conditioner worked with no issues, pillows are very soft, bed was firm, but not uncomfortable and I slept better in that bed, than my own. There is a master light switch to control the overhead light in the entry and bathroom. You can operate them separately (it just takes some flipping of lights to figure it out). Decent water pressure and nice, hot water at night. Morning time I suggest getting your shower in early. Hot water is still present but not as hot as it was the night before. Tip- I took my shower at 5/6am the morning of checkout and the water was hot and perfect for a nice shower before leaving for cruise. Staff was always smiling, friendly and willing to assist. Carlos at the concerige desk is very helpful, ask for his recommendations and he is more than happy to assist. The 7th floor has the laundry facility, but many machines were out of order. This is going on my pre cruise hotel list because it was the perfect hotel and the perfect location. It was about a 15min ride to the cruise port and airport. The cruise port ride was booked for 8am, so I beat the 9am bumper car cruise port traffic. The video I posted is short and quick, but a glimpse of the room

I checked in on the app the day before and picked the room. We parked in the garage, went to the lobby, and got our room keys. As we went to the room, there was a sign on the door indicating the room was occupied. I was surprised and ended up going back to the lobby to see what happened. It turns out that the app was glitchy and we were put in a different room number. The lady behind the counter made adjustments and we were able to stay on the same floor as what I originally picked, but in a different room. The room had a king bed, a fridge, microwave, a TV, drawers, and a bathroom with a shower. It was very clean. We got two drink vouchers to redeem at the lobby/pool bar, which was a plus, to enjoy while we were at the pool. The hotel has a fitness center as well. The continental breakfast provided a selection of coffee and juices for the beverages. The food items consisted of a waffle bar, different types of pastries, and breakfast foods to choose from. They offered a little more than some of the other locations I have been at.

We Stayed here two night Precruise with our kids and grandkids…read more My daughter upgraded us with her status so we ended up with a gorgeous balcony room- floor to ceiling windows and we were able to watch a fireworks show the first night. The status match actually got us free breakfast, thank goodness, As it was $37 pp plus tip for breakfast. I will say, though, it was an excellent breakfast spread. And the first morning included Huevo rancheros with Cotija cheese, the usual scrambled eggs, and a variety of breakfast meats and potatoes, as well as as they have an omelette station and a lot of variety of fruits, deli meats, pastries, oatmeal, and toppings. There really is quite a big selection here. Service was excellent as well. We had a king room with a balcony with the most amazing view of downtown- the bathroom had a huge marble, shower and philosophy, products for shampoo, lotion, etc. There is also a nice bar on the first floor that has food and drink and a decent wine selection as well as sports playing on the TV so we were able to catch a couple of NCAA women's champ games We did spend an afternoon at the pool, it is a decent size with a good number of loungers. There is a counter you can go to to order drinks and food, but it was odd. There was only one person working at this counter so when they disappeared to go pick up food, a lot of people were waiting. This is an interesting set up for such a nice hotel. I will say you are in a very walkable area with tons of restaurants and shops in the vicinity so take your time to familiarize yourself. We went to Motek tonight for some wonderful Israeli food and it was fantastic. If you want, cheap eats, there is a Pollo tropical around the corner. It was very late when we arrived and we just wanted some grilled chicken and this hit the spot for about 13 bucks. Well, it's not the most convenient area to the cruise port, it is very nice here and much quieter than the Biscayne Bay area, so definitely an up level if you like Staff have been very friendly and accommodating as well

Our doggie had a great stay too. We will be back again :)

The hotel was beautiful, absolutely loved the amenities (gym, yoga studio, rooftop pool, hotel restaurant, games room)! I'm re-reviewing the Grayson Hotel and strongly recommend not staying here. After they asked me to…read moreemail them about my situation, I explained that I couldn't obtain a visa in time for a cruise from Miami to the UK -- which forced me to cancel both the cruise and my Miami hotel stay more than six months in advance. Despite the circumstances, they refused to refund me. After I left a review, they claimed they'd "look into my case," but still refused to do anything. It's honestly unbelievable and extremely disappointing. Any reputable, customer-focused company would handle this with empathy and flexibility -- especially when given six months' notice. This hotel showed none. The way they handled this came off as money-hungry and completely lacking basic customer service. Based on my experience and the interactions I had with staff, I'm not surprised there are other negative reviews. They really need to learn how to treat customers with respect. I won't be staying here again and I would not recommend them to anyone.

Our family stayed at Embassy Suites Miami for one night before our cruise. There were definitely…read moresome positives, but unfortunately our overall experience was overshadowed by poor communication and customer service. The hotel itself is beautiful, and our room was spacious, clean, and exactly what we expected. Those aspects of our stay were excellent. Our first issue was with the airport shuttle. We were instructed to wait at Door 7 for pickup. The shuttle arrived once, but it was already full. The driver told us he would be back in about 30 minutes to pick us up. When he returned, however, the shuttle was full again. What no one explained was that the shuttle always picks up at Doors 1 and 4 before returning to Door 7. Had we been told that, we would have gone to Door 1 to ensure we got on the next shuttle. Instead, after waiting for over 30 minutes, it was nearly 11:00 p.m., and we were traveling with three exhausted children. We ended up paying for an Uber because we couldn't continue waiting. When we arrived at the hotel, I explained our frustration with the lack of communication about the shuttle. The front desk employee simply responded, "Well, it's a complimentary service." There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the confusion, and no indication that anyone cared enough to improve the process for future guests. Our second issue was even more frustrating. The air conditioner in our room wasn't working. Maintenance came to our room and confirmed it was broken. We were traveling with two adults and three children, yet the same front desk employee told me my only options were to stay in the hot room or move to a room with one king bed. When I explained that five people couldn't sleep in one king bed, she repeatedly said, "That's all I can offer you," with a very rude attitude. I felt as though I was being treated like the broken air conditioner was somehow my fault. There was never an apology or any concern for our situation. It wasn't until I became so overwhelmed that I broke down crying at the front desk that she finally offered us two king rooms. Even then, she acted angry the entire time. I could hear her around the corner telling another employee that I was "demanding" two rooms, when all I was asking for was enough beds for the five people included in my reservation. She acted as though providing a reasonable solution was a personal inconvenience. Our final disappointment involved the cruise transportation package we had prepaid. At check-in, the front desk employee said she couldn't find our reservation for the transportation and told us it would cost an additional $12 per person. Only after we showed her our confirmation email did she add us to what she called a "priority list" for the morning shuttle. The next morning, no one knew anything about a priority list, and everyone acted like it didn't exist. It felt misleading and completely disorganized. This hotel has a beautiful property and clean, comfortable rooms, but customer service and communication matter just as much. With better staff training and a greater focus on guest service, this could have been a great stay. Instead, it was a very frustrating way to begin our family vacation.

I was told to call them back when I was in a certain area and so I did. When the shuttle arrived, this family of about 7 people hopped on first even though we had been waiting for 25 minutes. We were like hey! We told the driver we called the hotel and implied that you were coming for us. The driver says we only have room for 2 more people and there were 3 of us. So we had to wait another 35 minutes for the shuttle to drop off everyone else first. Plus the shuttle was not safe as the attached pictures will show. There was no coffee in the lobby like I am used to in the other Hampton Inn. Not even hot water for tea. I am speculating it's one less thing to do for the staff.

Upon arriving to the room, everything was nice and clean pretty decent space with ample room for storage. My room was an upgraded room which I believe just means that it had the sink kind of wet bar area. The room included a mini fridge and microwave so in case you needed to heat something up or keep something cool that would come in very handy. The bed was amazing and super comfortable desk area was ample space. However, the lighting in the room, definitely could use an upgrade. Other than the desk lamp and then two bedside lamps. The only other lighting provided was on the entryway and then in the bathroom. The first night I was awoke around 1 AM to what sound like industrial size washer machine running at high speed on the spin cycle. This caused one of the doors on the TV cabinet to bang and with a towel, I was able to be rectify. I was able to go back to sleep so not a huge deal. Part of the reason I chose this hotel is due to the free breakfast and the proximity to the airport. Breakfast was a typical Hampton breakfast. They had coffee, juices, cereal, waffles, various pastries, and bread, oatmeal and then hot items typically eggs, tater tots and some breakfast meat. The breakfast area was a little bit small and the temperature was absolutely freezing. As the breakfast area was directly off of the pool deck, you were able to go outside to get a little bit of warmth and sunshine while having breakfast. The staff was very kind and helpful for the various items they needed. The shuttle departs at the top of each hour and was about a 15 ride to the airport. Overall, if you're looking for a clean hotel with a nice breakfast and proximity to the Miami airport, I would recommend to check this place out.
