I had seen it while driving by but never stopped in until today after I had lunch at Bourbon & Baker. The first thing I noticed was a nice collection of Michael Aram's line! I am a big fan of Aram and had no idea I could find his pieces here in MHK. I found a new catch-all in the hearts line that goes with some of my picture frames and some non-Aram glass appetizer dishes shaped like oysters. The prices were very reasonable. I was impressed to find an Aram mezzuzzah here - that was pleasantly surprising. There are linens, dishware, candles, decor, and other neat things to explore here. This shop offered your basic mainstays for any boutique of its kind: decorative napkins and napkin rings, candles, lotions, throw pillows, and the like. However, my favorite part of the shop was tucked in the back. I first spotted the small shelf with spices and olive oils, and then was pleasantly surprised to see a table devoted solely to displaying salts from the Beautiful Briny Sea company, an artisan salt company based out of Atlanta. I first discovered these salts while vacationing in Denver and hadn't seen them since, so I was thrilled to see such a grand display (including samples!) The shop owner noted that he planned to expand this particular section of the shop, so I'll be looking forward to that.

You are not going to find the cardboard cut out, run of the mill, every day furniture items like you find at the big box furniture stores. No you are going to find classic, rare, beautiful, edgy, and fun things that no one else will have. Chris Grandmontagne has a fantastic talent at putting together the coolest rooms and she will always take her time and visit with you. I uploaded a photo of my 3 grown kids that they offer to put on a large candle and the candles came out perfectly!! They were accommodating and happy to try different photos because I could not make up my mind which to use. They sent me a photo for my approval of what the candle would look like prior to going into production. I worked with a mother and a daughter that were as charming as you could expect from Abilene, KS! Nothing but courtesy and kindness is what they gave me! And the candle? They made 4 of them for me and they were all unique and gorgeous! My kids LOVED them!!

I bought a brand new Whirlpool Stove for our new house on November 3, 2024 from Menards in…read moreManhattan, Ks. Took it to new house and left it in box until 16 November when I moved the old stove out and installed the new one. The stove top burners worked, but the screen was dead and oven didn't work. Called Menards that day. Kid asks, did you unbox it? No, I managed to hook it up and start it in the box, WTH kind of stupid question was that? But, I said yes. He says it's not their problem since it's past 7 days. It was a total of 13 days from purchase. If it was still boxed and wrapped, then 30 days. Since I unboxed it I have to go through Whirlpool. Spoke with store manager and was told sorry that's the policy. So no Thanksgiving meal cooked, nothing cooked in there for Christmas either. So they don't tell you about this 7 day policy, and you don't see anything about it until you get your receipt and aren't likely to look at that print on the bottom of your receipt, and by then it's too late anyway. Manager tells me if I would have bought the store brand. Criterion, I could replace it for up to a year. Totally deceptive practice that I plan on reporting to State of Kansas AG. I spend thousands of dollars at Menards every year since the Manhattan store was built, but never again.
