Because of the aforementioned, I initially opt to not take a car through the store, knowing that when I do, I'll definitively purchase many more items than intended. Reason- there's always a treasure chest of great finds, and items you forgot you need, want to get, or the price is so reasonable, how could you not purchase the item you're drawn to. The Marshalls and HomeGoods store is divided into one space for the former and the latter. The store is maintained extremely well. The store is clean, add organized, which is often difficult because customers believe they have a sense of entitlement wherever they shop, and whatever they decide they don't want is not placed back where it was found, nor the way it was found (on a hanger, hanging from a display, in the correct aisle, shelf, department, etc.). The store is well lit and spacious. In Marshalls you can find clothes from toddlers to adults of any gender, jewelry, accessories, outerwear, workout essentials, confines, perfumes, shoes, luggage, hair care products and appliances, facial and skincare products, toys, collectibles, sports fan gear, and much more. In HomeGoods, there have seasonal and non-seasonable items well organized and displayed. There's aisles with each of the following, lamps, rugs, furniture, furniture accessories, framed artwork and photos, mirrors, pet supplies, clothes, and accessories, bedding, linens, pillows of all types, sheet sets, comforters, and duvet covers of all sizes, bath products, bath furniture, storage, and accessories. The selection is huge and they are putting as many as they can in pots of water to keep fresh! Nobody else I know does that. The trees are so nice, full and fresh. I imagine they won't last even though they have hundreds now. They're too nice to pass up. Remember always try to tip the staff when they trim the tree up, net it and put it on or in your car. I'm sure the staff depends on extra money for Christmas and I have zero relation or incentive to say please tip. Just a long time customer that appreciates small businesses and great service. It's hard to find these days.

Everything sat where it was supposed to sit, which felt almost unnatural for a store this size. Despite the sprawl, I found what I needed quickly, as if the shelves had been arranged by some benevolent hand that wanted me to succeed. Self checkout was quick and painless. The machines did their work. I did mine. Nobody complained. Out in the lot, there was plenty of parking. Rows and rows of empty spaces waiting for people to fill them with carts of back to school supplies and impulse buys. I did not interact with a single human being during my entire time there, nor did I need to. It was efficient. It was ordinary. And in a world that so often makes simple things hard, ordinary felt pretty wonderful. Four stars.
