This was the ceremony site of a friends wedding and it was a great choice. Very cute little cathedral with very high ceilings that connected at an angle. The father speaks Lithuanian so he can perform a dual language ceremony for you (and apparently they have classes in the language here as well). Beyond the cathedral this place is huge! Classrooms, bathrooms, a bathroom with a tub and shower, a kitchen, a beautician on site, a banquet hall, and a dining room that leads out onto a lawn with extra seating. We had the rehearsal dinner here with traditional Lithuanian food, wine and beer catered in (so alcohol is allowed). Definitely a place to keep in mind if you are looking for traditional Lithuanian. i sveikata!

Our Youth Ministry has been especially active in outreach, taking every opportunity to put faith into action. Last year, 15 youth members, supported by adult volunteers, partnered with Olive Branch Mission to serve Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Together, we provided meals for nearly 100 residents, offering not just food, but encouragement and fellowship during the holiday season. This effort was an extension of our ongoing support for local shelters and programs that assist battered women, children, and families in need. We are excited to celebrate Olive Branch Mission's recent announcement of major infrastructure upgrades made possible through a city grant. As part of the Department of Family and Support Services' $40 million Shelter Infrastructure Initiative, Olive Branch Mission will create 32 non congregate rooms with private bathrooms for families, along with eight semi-private rooms. These improvements will bring greater privacy, dignity, and security to families experiencing homelessness. Led by Executive Director Katrina Coleman and supported by dedicated leaders like our own member, Geneice Randolph, Food Service Director Olive Branch Mission continues its 158-year legacy of providing hope and a safe haven to Chicago's most vulnerable populations. She helped me solve all of the issues and misinformation I was previously given and I was squared away and ready to go within a few hours. She even printed some documents for free for my troubles. Please hire more people like her. Everyone that comes to the courthouse has varying reasons for being there but all should be treated with decency and respect. A little kindness goes a long way.

My human rights were violated when I was an employee with Eby-Brown. I was terminated, their reason…read morelisted was misconduct/ insubordination. My question is, since when asking to go use the bathroom/ restroom to relieve themselves, it's the law for employees to receive at least two 15 minute breaks when working more than 6 hours. I never received a first break and was approaching lockout for me to take a lunch. I was still actively on lunch when I asked to go use the restroom and was denied the right to go. How is this not a violation of human rights? How am I denied my employment benefits because of this? I forgot to mention prior to me needing these benefits unemployment paid out a fraudulent claim under my name where I had to go through extreme lengths just to verify my identity!! AGAIN HOW AM I DENIED BENEFITS?! ESPECIALLY WHEN THE EMPLOYER DIDN'T SHOW UP TO THE HEARING?!
