I'd probably have given them 4.5 stars as it is, well, a mattress store but heck, I gave them 5 because they blew away the competition (Mattress Firm) in terms of service. Great on-time delivery. Easy ability to get someone on the phone for questions and help (where the competition failed badly). Next I fear I may need to test their 120 sleep-on-it guarantee program as I had to buy the bed without sleeping on it (and my current mattress was discontinued so I tried to replicate it, but maybe missed.) This is embarrassing. But I'll post it anyway. Because one of the big mattress buying seasons of the year is upon us as the President's Day weekend is on the horizon. And if you're in the market and have some skepticism about mattress retailers (as hubby and I do), it's worth sharing our customer service / exchange experience at Bedmart. Yes. Although we did a lot of due diligence, we ended up finding the mattress we selected was not for us. Well, not for me. My hubby could have happily kept it. But I have MS and along with that some unique issues for sleep comfort. After a week or so it seemed this mattress was aggravating some of my symptoms. And after 45 days, I tried, it was clear that was so. So for the first time ever we needed to make a "comfort exchange" on a new mattress. Went back to Bedmart to follow up on our "option 2". But in due diligence this time (another three visits for laybout...on one occasion even taking my own pillow...seriously) during which we were greeted by Jeff and Artie with courtesy and as much helpfulness as before...we actually discovered "option 3" was best. New mattress delivered in quick order. And the delivery guys, Tony and Cody, were as friendly and courteous and careful setting up as the first time. When I expressed my embarrassment at having to have the mattress changed out, they said I should have no worries about that. "At Bedmart, we want our customers to be happy. A good night's sleep is important." How's THAT for ownership in customer satisfaction? Cool. So far so good with this new mattress. But having had first hand experience now with the exchange process (which we didn't ever expect to need), thought I'd update the Yelp review to report a hassle free experience! Wohoo. read more

My mom was in need of an adjustable bed and called prior to my stopping in to the store on highway 20 to check it out for her before she purchased it, she does not drive. I was impressed with the staff from how helpful, knowledgeable and patient they were with my mom and also with me. My mom likes to ask lots of questions and they took it all in stride and were simply great! When they delivered the adjustable bed platform to my moms home they called when we were told they would and called again with a 20 minute window. My mom is not easily impressed so to say she is happy with the service would be an understatement! She told me that she has never had better service hands down in her 25 years living here in Bend. She commented on how knowledgeable, respectful, professional and kind they were. They set the bed up for her and would not leave until they had it just right. It meant so much to her to get the "ROYAL" treatment. I can tell you that it made her day and possibly her whole year! Thank you so much to every person who helped my mom and truly listened to her! I just moved back to Bend after 10 years of being away and my childhood twin bunk set wasn't cutting it-- so I decided to look online for the best deals in the area for a new mattress set. That all being said I saw a great deal on a competitors site for a new set up but when I read their service reviews I decided to check out the Bend Bed Mart first to see if they had anything comparable because they had an overall better rating and I didn't want to risk it without at least seeing what they could do for me. And I am SOO glad I did. I was met by Adam who is one of their sales representatives and I told him exactly what brought me in as well as what I was looking for, right away he was able to show me 5 options around the price point I was hoping for and exceeded my expectations when he was able to coordinate with his associate Cody a next day delivery and curbside pickup of my old mattresses. If there was an option to give them 6 stars I would. If you are worried at all about getting a fair price and having good service save time and go in to see them. read more

My husband and I did a lot of online research before going anywhere to buy a bed. We knew a coil bed was out. It would be memory foam or latex. My husband read awesome reviews about Bedmart and I had purchased a bed there 8 years ago so we thought we would start there. Before we went in, we braced ourselves for cheezy sales tactics and said we were just going in to lay on beds and were not going to make a purchase yet. Wrong! Artie, the sales clerk, was terrific. He wasn't pushy, left us alone as we narrowed it down, and was super knowledgable when we had questions. After over 20 years we knew it was time for a new mattress. Our search started in Tigard with Josh, who was most helpful with his knowledge in narrowing down our selection to a few mattresses. Still wanting to compare we went to a couple more mattress stores. No helpful customers service. No info about the product. Next stop Bend, where we met Robin & Jess who were very very helpful. At this point needed mattress ASAP!!! Both of our backs were out & husband had just had surgery. Robin & Jess got the us on the delivery schedule for late that afternoon. Cory & tony had to come back to the store (after being on the road all day) load up our mattress and come over to our home. They got a laugh about how old our "used" mattress was. They were very efficient in getting the old set out and the new set in. They saw that we needed some support under the mattress so they waited while we got some out of the spare bedroom. Plus offered to come back to stop with anything since my husband couldn't lift anything over 10 lbs. Outstanding customer service & plain service overall. Employers are lucky to have employees like these people. read more

After moving to Bend and sleeping on a creaky twin bed for 3 months I decided it was time to upgrade. My sister had purchased her bed from BedMart so I figured I would start there. I never went anywhere else. Matthew was very helpful in pointing out features of different mattress sets and helped guide me to the one that was the best for me and that I could afford. There was no sales pressure and I was not 'guided' toward the more expensive choices. They have an excellent selection, a clean and bright showroom and friendly sales staff. My bed was delivered a few days later as promised and they were able to take away the old creaky mattress set (for a small fee). I have had the best nights sleep. I am quite pleased. We recently encountered the EXTRAORDINARY customer service of the staff at this store, from the selection of our mattress to the delivery and set-up! With salesman Doug Kinsey's kind assistance, we looked for a new mattress for my 87-year-old mother, having several different needs to fill. The comfort, height and weight of the mattress were all important considerations, since she needed to be able to sit easily on the bed and also, lift it to put on fitted sheets. (Since she lives alone.) Doing "all of the above" took some time and patience, which Doug gave in abundance. Since we were visiting my mother only for the week, it was key that we also make a selection that could be delivered during that time period. Doug's assistance exceeded every expectation, helping to meet my mother's - and our - needs completely. If that was not enough, Cody, in charge of delivery, was equally as kind and attentive with my mother during the delivery/set up. He and his team were speedy and efficient, in and out in no time, also removing the old mattress set. We've never encountered such genuinely helpful customer service anywhere!!!! These two gentlemen went ABOVE AND BEYOND in every way, and we could not be more appreciative! We'll never forget you both --- THANK YOU!!! read more

I bought a tempurpedic mattress here in February. Christie helped me and I had a great experience. She spent a lot of time with me and was attentive, but not at all pushy. We have had the absolute BEST service from Jeff & Becky at this store. We recently purchased a home in Bend. We ordered mattresses from a competing mattress store well in advance of our move in, and scheduled the delivery. We arrived at our new home a day before the mattresses were scheduled to arrive. We received a confirming email that night that the mattresses would be delivered the next day. The next day we didn't receive the phone call giving us the time of the delivery, so we called the store and found out they had cancelled our delivery & wouldn't be able to deliver mattresses for at least a week. We were extremely upset, to say the least. We had people coming to stay with us and we had no beds. I called Bed Mart and they immediately checked their stock of mattresses, found comparable mattresses for us, and delivered them THE SAME DAY! We have since upgraded some of the mattresses, and Becky was once again so very helpful with getting us the best mattresses for our needs. We can not recommend her enough. This store went above & beyond for us and we would highly recommend them. read more

I can not recommend this store enough! Matthew greeted me promptly when I arrived, but in no way appeared pushy. He listened to me speak about my husband's back ailments, and to my sleeping patterns, and he immediately directed me to a great bed. I had a lot of confidence in what he told me but wanted the chance to shop other stores. I did not have to go far to discern that I had been in good hands at BendMart. I came back and purchased the bed. One of the best things about BedMart is the fact that they have a GREAT exchange program if you do not care for the mattress you originally select. I exercised my option, and the exchange went without a hitch. No fuss, no eye rolling, just the straight, can-do exchange. The delivery guys were courteous, good communicators and prompt. I also really appreciated that Samantha who worked there did a great job covering for Matthew on his day off and went the extra mile to help me with a bed frame. There was another nice young man I spoke to who was also excellent. When it comes to shopping for a bed, you need to look no further. I also appreciated that they carry locally made product. I love our new bed! I couldn't be more satisfied with my experience with Bedmart. They are patient, courteous, and informative. Loved our mattress quality, however, queen size felt uncomfortablyy small for our needs once we slept on it. Purchased new mattress here. The Customer Service was fragmented - Jeremy was always looking away from us and talking or greeting "new" customers. We felt like he was keeping his options open in case our sale didn't go through. Even during check-out, Jeremy had our paperwork on the printer right behind him and pointed at it when another rep walked in and told that guy to hand it to us so Jeremy could go talk to someone who just walked in the front door. Jeez- it was only handing us a paper from less than three feet away! Also, when we were at the front counter, the other rep (maybe the Manager) was talking so loud we couldn't hear a word. We asked Jeremy to wait until the other guy was done talking so we could hear and understand what he was telling us. That man obviously heard us say that and then began talking louder, almost to a shout. We thought he was doing this on purpose and that it was really odd - that behavior was rude and it made our check-out process uncomfortable. We also had questions about warranty and pricing and Jeremy kept going around a little corner and talking, again to the person we think was the Manager. Jeremy said he couldn't make any changes and the Manager also agreed with him, but yet the Manager wouldn't come out from around that little corner and talk to us. It was weird. Jeremy might make a good Customer Service rep, but he obviously isn't getting any encouragement, training or examples set by the Manager who raises his voice and hides from people. Now, on to the superior Customer Service we received from the delivery team. Tony and Cody were exceptional! Very few young men have their personality, professionalism and care about being in your home. These guys know their job and know it well. They come in, are very organized and careful, they know the product and they are good with people. We have never met two delivery people so professional and courteous. Based on our experience with them, we will continue to use this company and to recommend it to our friends and family. If you buy here, be cautious when working with the office/store people and expect to be blown away by the delivery and set up people. The delivery and set up will make all the weird feelings about the purchase go away and make you believe true Customer Service is still out there! Oh, and we are super happy with our new mattress by the way - they do have a good variety of quality products available. Way to go BedMart! read more

AJ, our salesman, was very helpful and Cody & Tony, the men who delivered the mattress, were wonderful. It was the end of the day, and the new mattress had to be carried up a switchback flight of stairs, plus the old mattress had to be carried down two switchback flights of stairs, then the downstairs mattress had to be carried up a switchback flight of stairs. We recently spent hours researching the purchase of a new mattress. After deciding on the type of mattress we wanted, we were planning to go to all the stores in our town that sold them. After going to BedMart, we went no further, and bought our mattress from them. We love shopping local and this time the local store had EVERYTHING- they carried all the different styles, Jeremy was fantastic andwas able to answer all of our questions thoroughly, they gave us plenty of time to try them all out, checked immediately regarding availability and delivery, and in all aspects made shopping for a new mattress stress-free - we left the store feeling we had made the right decision!
