Do you know that the mirror in the waiting area is a 2 -way mirror to the office manager's office. Seems like she is a little paranoid or very noisy. I have worked as a Administrative Assistant for over 15 years and as a Bank Teller for about the same amount of time. One of the First things you learn in Customer Service and as a professional is that when someone comes in upset you try to do everything in your power to defuse the situation NOT escalate it. But escalate it is exactly what this supposed office manager did. I had questions about a communication issue I thought should have been handled a little differently. Like letting people waiting in the parking lot for the doors to open at 1:00PM know that they have been unlocked. Also the signs on the front door are covered with some kind of dark film and you can't really read them from your car or see what going on inside the office. When I voiced my concerns about this lack of communication, I was told the doors were unlocked at 1:00PM and it was pretty much my fault that I did not know this. When I told her that this was not good customer service, I was spoken to like a little child and told to sign in and sit down. Later she had an issue processing an insurance card. At that point I did question if she knew her job or not. I was then asked to leave. I was very happy to. From what I have read in other reviews, it seem like the Doctor is very good. But his front desk staff leave a lot to be desired. Will never set foot in this office again. If anyone else reads this lengthy review, I Highly suggest you find another Eye Doctor to visit or at least until he finds a new office manager.

I paid a $45.00 copay at the appointments, then whatever was remaining after insurance, which varied from $14. to $16., which I paid when billed. In January of 2025 the medicine fee was no longer covered by the assistance eye care program I was enrolled in, but I wasn't notified until May of 2025 and informed I owed $330. for the last shot in February. I questioned this since I had coverage, they said it ended in January. I asked why I wasn't informed. I would have gone back to the less expensive medication. I ended up paying it but made sure the covered medicine was used the next time. After a couple months I got a bill for over $3,000.! I called my insurance, they said it was wrong, I did not owe it. I had many calls with the billing company, they said I owed it, there were a number of reasons they gave but none were true. I finally called my insurance and asked them to call the billing company because after so many calls and wasted time, I was getting so stressed trying to fix the problem. They took care of it, I got a final bill for $18. and paid it to end the problem. I was called many times to schedule an appointment, I thoroughly explained why I would never return there and stopped the shots.

I have been getting these shots for 5 years and never paid $244 for a visit. I am and they are in network and my copay is $45 for the visit and about $10 for the injection. If they can charge whatever they want why do we have a copay. Be warned what the office may charge may be just a fraction of what the billing office will bill you and they won't care. I am sure this is illegal or a mistake on their part.
