I noticed it and asked them to replace it. The delivery guy said, "That part will be covered by the remaining piece once we deliver it." I said "Absolutely not! I paid $3100 for a couch I want what I paid for. Especially having kids that will find that and hide their toys in it eventually and rip it wider." They told me they would order them and I would wait another 2-3 weeks for the final pieces to arrive. I tried calling but they never called back. Texted the number but very rarely texted back. Then, they said they accidentally ordered the wrong part but "they found a replacement". I automatically assumed that they decided to send me the floor model. Sure enough, they delivered me the floor model. I knew because it was faded and not wrapped like the other pieces were when they were delivered. I sent them back catching with the floor model and said I want what I paid for. They offered to call the store to work it out when I demanded that I should call them. I went back in my house but my cameras caught them talking to their manager on speaker and were complaining about how the replacement piece "didn't fool me". They told me they had to order a new one then, uh duh! Will never return. Will drive elsewhere and tell them the same experience and hope that this store does a revamp of their employees.

Outrageous to charge so much. They know that they have you hooked and if you have no choice, after your hooked, they got ya! If I go to most any store that sells large items, they offer free delivery if you buy, say over $300. But not Ashley furniture here in Topeka, KS. Get them in and hit them with a surprise charge. I just called again today trying to get my grandmother's couch fixed, they have a warranty for an Ashley furniture store refuses to honor that warranty. The couch is three months old. The only other way I know how to figure out to honor a warranty is when they get a notification back from Ashley furniture credit card, stating that they got dispute on one of the pay for defective furniture. maybe then when they actually get deducted over $1000 for a couch someone at the store will give a call back. but praise to the Topeka store Ashley furniture if you're looking for customer service and reliable information. Please call them. They will be glad to help you in anyway that they need to. even when you didn't buy the couch from them. The manager finally called back after three months to the lack of his customer service due to his customer service manager, Rhonda the store manager is Travis. He's really nice guy.
