Most extensive cachaça store I've ever seen. Don't know what that is? Well then get your ass into…read morethis storefront! Cachaça is Brazil national spirit. Similar to rum but made with sugar cane and not molasses, cachaça is what Brazilians enjoy on hot summer days. The world famous caipirinha is made with cachaça and muddled limes. Though many Americans don't know about cachaça, they've likely tried a caipirinha and had it without really knowing much about it. The spirit itself is a little sweet and very potent. Just a drink or two and you'll be knocked on your butt. Cachaça, like rum and other spirits, can be aged. So some bottles are silver (or white) and others are aged and the liquid is brown in color. There are thousands and thousands of distilleries in Brazil and I went on vacation recently to specifically learn more about them, about how cachaça is made, etc. I learned that most cachaças fit into two regional categories. There's the stuff made in Northern Brazil and stuff made in the southern states. The flavors are different because of the difference in weather and soil/cane conditions. And of course each distilleries slightly different methods or strains of cane, or aging processes also means different flavors. I've now tried easily over 40 brands and heard about this store. Without much access to cachaça in the US, the only exposure I had before Brazil was to Novo Fogo and Leblon. Both solid brands (one being 100% organic!). This store is the perfect place to go, learn, and even taste different products. There were easily 500-600 bottles here and I was amazed at the variety they had. I mean, they name of the store is Kaxassa aka cachaça. So they better have a good selection, right? Great for tourists and locals, you can get a wonderful education here and bring some items home to share with friends and family. More than just a liquor store, they had fresh baked cookies, dried/cured meats, crackers, and other goodies on the shelves. Not an extensive selection, but perfect for grabbing something extra on your way to a party or if you're hosting at home. It's almost a one stop shop, but mostly for cachaça. Definitely a must-see if you're into spirits and learning more about Brazil's national booze! There's free parking out front, but spaces are limited to just 4 or 5 spots.

they have it all here for sure…read more the fresh produce, cold cuts, meat and even pet fishes you will find here on their first floor. there is no parking as far as I am aware of only street parking and I was told that it is pretty difficult to find some parking near the market. here is a bargain place where you can negotiate the best price and get the best price if you are savvy. you will find also liquor stores here and clothing stores. the second floor has a full food court and tobacco products as well. there is really not much more to say about tis place, all you need to know is that you should not drive here if possible. you should bring some cash cause you can buy a whole lot here and that you should also come with time cause there is a lot to be seen. the only negative I found here is that the business ppl here do not care about the customer. I went to a store asking for a specific kind of liquor and I was told that they didn't have and when I asked if they could point me to someone they may think has the drink they told me that they would never direct me to a competitor, I thought it was the most stupid answer ever! it showed that there are willing to have the customer not find the item they need so nobody gets the money. with that said, do not take no for an answer and walk around over there cause after all here you will be on your own.
