    The Nevadan
    Chynna D.

Cute little food truck in midtown. Friendly service and amazing food. I ordered the Nevadan which is basically their classic burger. I also ordered garlic fries. The burger was well seasoned and the fries were hot, fresh and delicious! I will absolutely be back

First off I have to say that the burger was perfect. I ordered the breakfast burger. Cooked medium egg with over medium as requested, and the bacon was good. There's a place gets one star though because I didn't check the prices. When I arrive the guy charge $24.95 that's correct a burger, some tater tots and a drink. I was pretty put off by this, but just left thinking holy crap this place has gotten expensive. When I arrived home to eat my burger, I decided to look up the prices and there was a menu posted from last month by peter H. $12.50 for the breakfast burger. $6.99 to upgrade it to a combo. Total price $19.50 ...My price: $24.95. I even asked on the phone if they had a combo special he said yes they did and asked me what I wanted to drink. Even if I was charged separately, I find it hard to believe that a drink and tater tots is $12. If there's up- charge for switching fries tots, the guy can say hey I'm gonna charge you five dollars extra.

This greasy spoon is a dive that is for sure- extremely cramped inside (we were in "the nook" and some other people sat down and put a stool in front of the only way we could get out which made me nervous of a grease fire breaking out heh). But honestly my burger and the fries were quite well prepared and the components of the burger were obviously fresh/ scratch made and well sourced (I would hope so, burger and fries is over $20 here). Glad I asked before I decided on what burger to try, as I was told the house sauce was a tartar sauce.. who puts tartar on a beef patty? Is it really a tartar sauce like gherkins and capers and tarragon? Or is it a mayonnaise with relish in it? Could you actually explain it if you work there? I don't know. Service was a little clunky, the owner had a weird conversation with his server about how to serve the customer in the middle of the restaurant for all to hear which was virtually; to let them wait, that's how we do it here lol

I am officially declaring Beefy's the best burger joint in Reno! My wife and I have been discussing over the past few months what the best burger joint is in Reno. This includes not only the quality of the burger (most important) but fries, location, service, selection, consistency, the full package! We have determined that Beefy's meets all the marks, and is now the top recommendation if anyone asks where they should go for the best burger in Reno. Pat the owner is a bit of a character and I always appreciate his attention to service and the personality he brings to the experience. A huge plus I found on my last visit, they have a new bus to expand their seating, which has always been a bit of a struggle since it's a small diner. The bus has bench type seating with a TV, heating and cooling, and some neat decor. On this last visit, I opted to splurge and got the Pot Belly Burger which was so good, with Bacon, Ham and Pastrami included. My wife went with the Nevadan and would rate it a great standard burger with cheese. The Parmesan fries were a nice treat and one basket was more than enough for us. Always good beers on tap, we both got a local IPA that was refreshing. If you are looking for an authentic Diner with the best Burger in town, stop by Beefy's and you won't be disappointed!

Back open and better than ever! The remodel looks great (bathroom is much cleaner! The islander (used to be called the awesome lady) was better than before. So glad they were able to get their doors back open!

Solid! What a great burger joint. Small but ideal for a quick burger and beer. The bus outside is a cool niche seating area. Good service and cooks were cool. Really glad to have finally got to check it out.

A plethora of their food! (A burger with actual meat)

Beefy's was awesome (I say as a vegetarian, haha)! They were so accommodating to our large party and let us have the bus to ourselves. Despite the actual restaurant not being the kind of place, size-wise, where a large party should fit easily, the staff made sure we were able to get dinner there. We were a group of 12 celebrating my brother's graduation ceremony and they did a great job getting our order in and out to us in a timely manner. They also didn't make any mistakes with our orders which is really impressive because I think that can be difficult sometimes when ordering such a large quantity of food. Everyone in our party seemed super happy with the options available, this place is very accommodating diet-wise whether you choose to eat chicken, beef, or no-meat. I tried a chocolate-malt shake, the vaquero with a veggie patty and pepper jack cheese, and onion rings. Everything was absolutely delicious! The onion rings were the perfect amount of crispy and salty. The veggie burger was delicious, a little crisp and buttery-tasting, the fried jalapeños added a nice crunch and kick. I also really enjoyed the ranch, it was thick, creamy, and the right amount of salty. To sum it up, this place was amazing and the service was excellent.

We visited this place because my husband loves burgers, and I like fries. We sat inside without realizing they have these awesome bus tables outside. It's such a cool concept, having tables inside a bus! The atmosphere was really fun, with a nostalgic American vibe from the past. My husband, who's pretty picky about burgers, absolutely loved his. He mentioned he'd definitely go back to try another one. I enjoyed the fries and the delicious sauce they served us as well. Definitely worth a visit!

Beefy's just re-opened and is serving a limited soft-opening menu. Food was great. The burger meal deal includes fries and drink.

Loved my juicy onion burger, but the fried zucchini was so unique and delicious! The thick slices of zucchini kept their bite and were fried in a buffalo sauce batter, delcious to dip in the ranch! Friendly service as well

If you're looking for a good burger I definitely recommend Beefy's. Service is great, the restaurant is clean, and the food you order is exactly what you get with no surprises. The bus in front of the brick and mortar looks like a food truck, but it's been converted to sit and eat inside along the windows. The breakfast burger and mozzarella sticks were really good. My only complaint was that the garlic fries arrived more on the cold side and seemed more soggy than crispy.

We love coming to Beefy's. The burger is always on point, staff is super friendly. The fries are delicious (just remember it is charged apart)... Sadly, my only complaint is that everything we come the milkshake machine is either broken or not working :( Patrick the owner of really friendly and is always helping the staff. This place is small but worth the wait. There's always a crowd here, and the reaaon why it is because the burgers are delicious! Let's not forget about the hotdogs. Many options of toppings and styles.

    Liz H.

Beefy's is my favorite burger spot in Reno (husband's fave too)! The menu has so many options and styles of burgers and are not overpriced. I like to keep it simple, but my husband likes a lot of extra stuff. I'm picky about the buns and Beefy's buns always taste fresh and the tomatoes don't make them soggy. Always fresh toppings as well. The beef patty is nice and thick and was cooked perfectly to my liking. Fries are ordered separately and shareable. The parmesan and herb fries are delicious with shredded parm and herb seasonings. You can also add fresh garlic. Very nice to eat at the picnic tables outside and they now have lots of extra seating in the back enclosed with heater/air conditioning. The staff were very friendly as well! Highly recommend if you are seeking awesome burgers!

Until this 4th of July weekend (250/2026) we had never heard of Archie's. It was recommended to us and we stopped in on Sunday the 5th for lunch on our way out of town. What an amazing choice. I ordered their bacon cheese burger. Guess what? It was GIANT. It was delicious. It was perfect. Comes with fries but I got onion rings. The onion rings were perfect too. Largest order of rings I have ever seen. The burger (1/2 Lb I think!!) had nice thick bacon in every bite, two large and fresh slices of tomato, a big old slab of an onion slice, mayo and lettuce. I can't remember if there were pickles. It was the best burger and onion rings I have eaten in at least ten years, maybe 20. We will be back, EVERY time we are in town from now on. I'd call this a Purist's Burger. Crisp lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, mustard, sauce. They went really light on the sauce to the point I didn't think it had any. Fries were excellent too. Price is very reasonable (that's typical near a college.) I've tried Royce, Juicy's, and The Parlor. I'd put Archies below Royce and Parlor but above Juicy's. Two left on my list are Armando & Son's Butcher Shop and of course Beefy's.

Figured maybe the knife that cut it was covered in something, so ate some off other half, same thing. I tore off both cut ends. Now, I know it's the burrito. This burrito should have had only cheese, eggs, bacon, and potatoes. It was missing cheese (which, ironically, may have made the completely charred bacon doable). You'd think it'd be even easier to make, not having to cook sausage, too. This bacon was not just burned. It was inedible. Because the restaurant was now closed and we couldn't leave work, I had nothing but a horrible taste in my mouth. It looked so good. I like crispy bacon, the burrito was hot. But I don't even know if meat this burnt is unhealthy. There's no way they didn't notice, that's the worst part, they still added it to the burrito. $12, no sides (you can have salsa, I have them keep it, why waste?). We'll try it again. Two previous things we noted: not real butter or mayo, if this matters to you. Spanish rice is basically tomato rice. Soups are good for the most part. Eggs are good. Prime rib is good for the price.
