He would probably throw in the Tommy Cooper joke too ( for those familiar: "look at the grain in that") The wood for this fence was all bought from Terry's Timber, a wood yard located on the dock roads. Given the fact that it was mum who had gone along to enquire and purchase the requisite tongue and groove, the lads were very welcoming and friendly (not in a leery perv kind of way) discussing her project and what was most appropriate for her needs. It was all delivered promptly and the total was quite inexpensive. This was a while ago now, but Terry's Timber is still working and remains a very reputable company. They stock everything from decking to stair parts and welcome orders large or small.

I have been buying mostly hardwood especially Prime Oak and Prime Ash over a number of years now and have never had any reason to visit. The net and phone is all it ever takes to get amazingly good quality timber every time. This is the only timer yard in the whole of Liverpool were I can do away with the visits. I can't speak highly enough and have complete confidence at every purchase Want exceptionally good quality timber and a service second to none then look no further You wont be disappointed.

I rang up and was told it would be Monday, still no delivery. I rang again and was told Wednesday, still no delivery. I rang again and was told Thursday, still no delivery. I rang again and was told Friday, still no delivery. I have now waited in for 5 days and it still has not arrived. The annoying thing is that all the items were in the shop but was told that the items have to come from 3 different places. How can that be cost afective . I have had to cancel a gas fitter to install the items that i ordered . My advice is not to get your goods delivered as they couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery.

There are plenty of staff floating around to ask for info (although actually pinning them down is another matter; you'll have to be quick on your feet). Look out for the regular special offer and 'seconds' sections (usually on the shelves right at the back of the store) and if you're into plants and gardening, the outdoor gardens section sells a vast selection of plants off - for pennies - on Saturday mornings. We've bought all our plants from this branch, and all have survived and thrived.
