I had an AMAZING time getting my haircut!! Linda/Jess (same person!) cut my hair and it made me feel extremely confident and so so happy! I showed Jess my inspo pics and she truly delivered. She helped walk through each detail (for example, I wanted layers similar to my inspo pic and she helped me walk through what the hair would look like styled and unstyled. I have Asian hair, but love being blonde. I've been to Stargaze Salon several times for balayage and am always happy with the results of my color. The owner, Joanna, is friendly and experienced, and has been willing and able to take my hair to levels of blonde that other stylists have not without frying it. Yesterday I went in for balayage after not having updated my color in 8 months. Due to my own lack of maintenance, my hair was a mess (see photo). Liz was my stylist and did a meticulous and beautiful job on my balayage. She listened carefully to what I wanted, made helpful suggestions, was upfront about pricing, and didn't pressure me to get something I didn't want. Breaks were well timed and if she had to step away, she kept me informed on when she would be back for the next step. I really appreciated the clear communication and the attention she paid to my hair. She gave me good tips on maintenance as well. My daughter had an in-person consultation last week with the owner where we mutually agreed on an appointment for today, September 17, at 2:30 PM. This timing was chosen because it's my daughter's birthday, and she finishes school at 2:30PM. During our consultation, I was assured that it was okay to schedule the appointment at that time, as I didn't want her to miss school. However, when I arrived at 2:30 PM, the owner I spoke with indicated that the appointment was cancelled because I hadn't put down a down payment and she claims that she tries to call me today and asked asked why this information wasn't communicated during our in-person consultation. I feel it's unfair to cancel the appointment and place the blame on me for not making a down payment or calling back. It's incredibly frustrating that she didn't ask for the down payment during our in-person consultation, yet chose to bring it up on the day of the appointment and then cancel. It feels very inconsiderate, especially since it's my daughter's birthday and there was no one else in the salon at that time. This lack of communication and understanding seems heartless, and it's disappointing that the appointment was handled this way. read more

One of the best salons I have been to in a while. Their customer service is amazing, all the staff is very friendly (they offer you drinks and snacks as you wait and my wait was barely 5 mins and I arrived before my appt time) and my stylist Liz is amazing, very knowledgeable in her craft , takes my feedback seriously and makes suggestions that made my haircut amazing! I was able to contact the salon and within 15 mins I got a response and was sent a link to confirm my appt, which during the process it gave me an estimate/quote on how much everything would cost. I really appreciate the transparency this salon has. The salon was nice and quiet with a good playlist playing in the background and reminds me of a more upscale atmosphere. Also I strongly recommend Liz. She knows her stuff and really gets to know you by making small conversations. In talking to her she knew I was looking for a low maintenance hairstyle for my trip and was able to make suggestions on the cut. Once she found out after my appt I was meeting my friends, she even curled my hair for me. She also gave me some recommendations on types of products to achieve my daily look, but was not at all pushy on trying to sell me the salon products (unlike other stylist I have been to where they are almost mad that you don't buy their products, like "everything you are trying to sell me I have, just not in the brand you want me to buy"). She even said to research the brands first and if I like them to get them next time. I will definitely be back again. And that's saying something as I live 1 hour away. read more

I recently had the pleasure of visiting stargaze salon, (*under new management) and let me tell you, it exceeded all my expectation. I reached out for a last-minute appointment by text on Friday, and received a response right away regarding availability on Sunday morning. I went in for a full hair color, and Bijal (also goes by Bee) worked wonders on my hair. She made the experience comfortable throughout the entire process, taking time to explain the procedure and ensuring clear communication. On top of that service, the pricing was great, and there was convenient and easy parking available near the salon. Definately recommend! I will be coming again for root touch up as well. I had the greatest experience at Stargaze Salon! I came across the business on Yelp, it had a full 5 star rating and being new to the area I began to do some research. Eventually I found the salon's IG account (@stargazesalon) and I reached out via DM. They were so quick to respond to my questions, even providing me with inspiration photos since I had no idea what I wanted to do with my hair. We also scheduled my visit and I was seen literally 30 minutes later! Special shoutout to Liz (@hairbylizm) for bringing LIFE back into my hair. I walked in with incredibly dry, tangled hair that had grown out so much that I found myself sitting on it.. she walked me through the entire process and also helped me create a new haircare routine. You could really tell that she was passionate about her work with all of the knowledge she shared with me. I trusted her immediately and told her she could do whatever she wanted with my cut, all I asked was that we maintain it long after cutting off the old balayage. She gave me a rounded cut (to keep it looking full) and added layers to create dimension. Probably the best haircut I have ever had! Incredibly disappointed with the service here. I booked an appointment after text consultation. Cleared my schedule to come in and get my hair done based on what we agreed on over text only to show up and not have anything done bc Joanna said her schedule was booked. The moron accidentally scheduled me for another consult instead of service. I asked her who was the one texting over the phone and booked the appointment bc they clearly screwed me over and she said she doesn't know (it was probably her). Anyways, nothing was made to rectify the situation and she also tried to change the previous quote we agreed on over text saying that the price does not include bond builder treatment. I found Joanna on Instagram and booked a somewhat last minute appointment (double check with her on IG for availability!) since I had a wedding to attend. My hair is super course and somewhat wavy and I have a lot of grays that had grown in over the course of nearly 5 months. On top of that my hair prior was mostly dark with a couple of caramel highlights here and there since my grays are covered with a dark color and it's difficult to bleach through all that dark root coverage when it grows out. Jem, their front desk was very nice and welcoming and she made me feel comfortable and relaxed which I think is a very big deal for customers like me who get very anxious coming into a salon, and I really appreciated that. Even the owner was there and she was also very friendly and approachable. Ariana was my stylist and she was AMAZING. She made sure to always check up on me and ask me if I wanted to make any more changes or touch ups, and she made sure that she would do anything to achieve the hair that I wanted. She established a relationship wherein I wouldn't feel bad telling her all the things that I wanted done on my hair. She's very chill and humble but obviously very talented. I requested an appointment and got a quick response asking for pictures of my hair front, side and back so they could give a quick consultation and price estimate. They listened to exactly what I was looking for and gave some recommendations and I booked my appointment. Their online booking is super convenient and I like that they send you reminders (if you want them) and you have the option of adding it to your Google calendar too. This is huge for someone who has a busy schedule! One of the things I love best about Stargaze Salon is that the price that they quote you is the price that you pay. They never do anything extra without asking you first so you're not surprised by the charges. That being said, I've been with Jenny (LOVE YOU GIRL) since the beginning and not only do we have great chemistry, Jenny is an exceptionally talented artist. Ask for Liz! I've let my hair maintenance go a bit too long and needed my balayage touched up. I've always gone for a warm dark mocha color but this time I wanted to try a brighter cooler toned color. Super outside my comfort zone but Liz was very helpful throughout the whole process! She was very meticulous and helped me figure out how to make my hair vision a reality. I also appreciated her honesty about what I should expect from this visit. Considering I have very black Asian hair, she told me that we may not be able to go as light as I wanted in the first try because the bleach may be too damaging. I really appreciated the transparency and felt like she really cared about the health of my hair rather than just the aesthetics. I felt very listened to and validated in my hair concerns and got a great result out of it! She was very attentive to my concerns during the whole visit and communicated each step very clearly. There was no portion of this visit where I felt like I was rushed because I was just another client. She took her time and made sure that I was happy with the results. In terms of pricing, it was $350 for a balayage, $50 for a haircut and $50 for a treatment mask. A little pricey but I find the experience and the results worth it! My hair was pretty long after several months without a haircut so I had a few inches cut to slightly below my collar bone.
