They do science and music and Spanish with awesome teachers, and we get lots of communication from the class. There are many highlights and advantages to PNA. The downside is there seems to be a lack of communication and transparency. Each teacher seems to set their own curriculum and classroom standards. Academics could be more challenging. No hot lunch except for pizza Monday's. Tuition is one of, if not the highest in anchorage. Overall is suits our needs as we are only here two years but we will definitely add some tutoring this summer to make sure our kids don't fall behind the lower 48's standards.

I pulled into the East High School driveway to assess the situation and change to a spare tire. One of the maintenance men saw my situation and was very, very helpful in getting my tire changed and getting me out of the driveway in time to avoid the afternoon student pickup rush. I visited East High as a coach for football…read more I can't say much about the inside other than to say the locker rooms were clean. The parking lots and entrances are the main focus of this post. There are lots of entrances, but not ease of movement between them. If you're going to a football game, you'll want to enter from Bragaw street. There are two parking lots. If you're coming from Northern lights you'll want to turn right on the road past the back edge of the school nearly to the housing development. I think they should install signage directing people to try field (and other locations). I spent quite a bit of time entering parking lots only to exit them because they weren't connected.
