Best Chinese in Colchester , always eat here , would 10000% recommend, clean and delicious food not greasy , staff are helpful and friendly

There are so many Chinese Takeaways in Colchester and I have tried a lot of them and this one is one of the better ones. It is reasonably priced and you get a lot for your money and the food is very nice. It does become very busy at times so can be a long wait I suggest you ring up and collect will be much better then waiting in there. You can park just to the left of the place because otherwise there would be no where to stop as it is on a busy road. read more

This takeaway was once regarded as the mecca of Chinese fast food in Colchester. A bad word never seemed to be spoken of it. Nowadays, it's standards have slipped. I have eaten from here over the course of 4 years living in the area nearby and there's been a steady decline. This may have coincided with the Police raid in which several illegal workers were deported! This happened whilst I was actually waiting on an order! Only last week I decided on a Friday night treat, and despite a couple of recent average experiences, I decided to give it a go. It was dire. The crispy duck we ordered was dry, overcooked and stale. It was abysmal. The prawns in the Chow Mein had a suspect taste and my girlfriend lost her appetite after trying them. The prawn toast was also dire; soaked in grease, lacking any sign of prawns in most of them. I have now concluded I will no longer eat here - just over a year ago I recommended this place to everyone. Very good chinese. Wide selection of speciallitys particularly recommend Mongolian Crispy Lamb very nice. Parking even better now they have converted back of building into parking area read more

I had 3 life limited patients at the hospice who I ordered a chinese for as a treat. I ordered at 5pm as soon as they opened. The chinese didnt arrive until 6.15pm! The patients were all going home at 6.30pm! The takeaway driver said there was lots of traffic, didn't apologise at all! I ended up telling him that we wasn't paying for the food as the patients wouldn't be able to eat it in 10 minutes! He then hung up on me. When the parents of the patients turned up (coming from all over north east essex) they all said there was no traffic, also, I checked traffic reports, there was no reports of severe traffic so no reason why it would of taken them well over an hour to get to us. I had very dissapointed patients who all had to go without dinner!!!! NOT GOOD ENOUGH! read more
