I had a stroke in September and have been using a walker for balance. I had to cancel my appt with the doctor because conditions on parking lot due to snow. I made an appt for the following Monday, and again we were hit with snow. I can drive but very cautious walking in slippery conditions, so I left a message on Sunday night I had to cancel again. I received a phone call from either a female worker or the doctor herself berating me for canceling. Obviously, my message wasn't read, or this office lacks any empathy at all. Warning: If you're going to stay with this group, make your appts for Tuesday! Don't leave a message. You might just have a new asshole in addition to any problems with your feet. read more

Dr is caring, knowledgeable and very professional. Staff is nice and wait time was very short.

My fiancé had a glass splinter in her heal that needed immediate attention. Dr. Belanger was able to give us an appointment within 24 hours. She was professional, caring and gentle. She was able to remove the glass within a few minutes with minor pain. The clinic was also modern and clean. I would recommend her services. read more

Since their move to Ocean the co-pays have ruined it for me. A co-pay to pick up my orthotics was the last straw, all the best but I'm done.

I visited the office 1/30/19 and was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. The doctor recommended an orthotic, which was not covered by Medicare, so I paid $500 out of pocket. I received a call that the orthotic was ready to be picked up and I was told I needed to see the doctor. On 2/19/19 I went to the office and the doctor spent about 3 minutes putting them in my shoe and telling me to wear it a few hours a day and extend the time until it's comfortable for all-day wear. After a few weeks, I was getting sore on the sole of my right foot. I called and had to see the doctor again. So on 4/10/19, I visited again, maybe a 2-minute visit, she never looked at my foot. I showed her on the orthotic where it hurt. She said," We'll send it out to get filed down" I received a call they were ready, but I had to see the doctor. I questioned why but was told I had to see her. On 4/30/19 I made my final visit. When she walked in I had my shoes in hand. She took them and put the orthotics inside and said, " If you have any problems come back" Maybe 2 minutes. Four visits for which she billed Medicare $ 152.91 first visit, second, third, and fourth visit were billed $167 each. Of course, each visit included a co-pay. So she billed Medicare $501 for 3 visits which lasted 3 minutes or less and were totally unnecessary. I am very capable of placing an orthotic in my shoe. The CPT code 99213 was billed for each of the last 3 visits. This code is for an established patient and the visit typically lasts 15 minutes. There are 3 other criteria that need at least 2 met to qualify for code 99213. Only 1 applied to me and the visit as never more than 3 minutes. For this reason, I am reporting them to Medicare and the NJ department of insurance. This is Medicare fraud in my opinion. read more

As a retired Registered Nurse (with a specialty in orthopedics) I have nothing but the highest praise for Dr. Belanger. Not only is she knowledgeable, highly skilled, and articulate, but she is also kind, patient, and very empathetic. I was dreading having a cortisone injection into the arch of my severely arthritic foot, but Dr. Belanger was so gentle and expert in her technique, that I will never fear these injections again. I'd also like to add that her staff is extremely competent, efficient, and pleasant. The next time I have any kind of foot problem, I will make a bee-line to Dr. Belanger's office. Requested copy of report from visit. Crucial errors in report. Doctor wrote "had condition two years." Correct time with condition is two months. Doctor wrote "ankle", when correct location is shin. Doctor wrote "no pain" when pain was indicated at office visit. Faxed the Doctor regarding the report to correct the discrepancies. Received no reply. Left a message regarding same, received no reply. What kind of professional doesn't return phone calls? Upon calling again the Doctor picked up phone and was extremely defensive and told me she "could not change a report." I repeated that the information was inaccurate and I wanted a correct report. She still professed she could not change a report! She said "once the information is in the software it could not be changed." Do we have to start recording phone calls with doctors? I told her I needed a correct report for my records and it was absurd that she thought I should accept a WRONG report. After a most unpleasant exchange she agreed to initial changes and send me a copy which I did not receive and had to ask for two times. I was asking for something I was entitled to, and I wanted the correct information on the report. There was no reason for an attitude on the phone. Was it because she knew she was wrong? She hung up on me! I could not believe she was actually arguing with me! What kind of "professional" does that? I would not recommend her, and other reviews on Yelp indicate the same low score. Downright rude. One has to wonder why her demeanor is so contrary and defensive. read more

This place is a scam! I brought my elderly mother in here to get her foot checked out. It turned out that she had something simple that needed to be adjusted in her shoes so we took the advice. We got heel adjustment to make it more permanent and we were told to follow up (all fine and dandy). We go back to have the follow up and they charged us another co pay (still fine) we ordered a brace for her so she could keep her leg straight and then when we went to go pick it up they demanded that we make another appointment just to have her "fit" for it. Even though it is a one size brace! They are just trying to grab money out of you and the insurance company and you better make sure you contact the state on them including the State Insurance Fraud Bureau and file a claim against them. They are taking advantage of elderly people and people in general and I will not stop until I get a resolution out of this. They have only 3 reviews on yelp but some how have over 40 reviews on google and all 5*. I HIGHLY DOUBT THAT! They definitely are fake and/or bought reviews. I would highly recommend to not do business with this scam of a doctor and I will make sure to pursue this suit until the final stages. That will teach you to mess with me. read more

I was very lucky to have met Dr. Belanger two weeks before my fall. I had tendinitis of the Achilles' Tendon and she prescribed some preliminary things to help. Then I fell in a parking lot and tore the tendon. Due to some more good fortune, if that can be said of something like this, I was in surgery less than two weeks after the fall, which Dr. Belanger says is how it should be. She is highly experienced in this kind of surgery, evidenced to me by the fact that interns at the hospital sat in to observe the operation. Recovery from a torn Achilles' Tendon is extremely slow but I am somewhat ahead of schedule. Dr. Belanger has a marvelous bedside manner and a helpful staff. I highly recommend her. read more

I've been going to Dr. Belanger for a couple of years now. There is no long wait to get an appointment or being seen by the doctor quickly at appointment time. If you need an x-ray done, she is able to do it at her office getting the results within minutes. I find Dr. Belanger listens to any questions I have and answers them directly. Too many doctors today go about their own agenda while you're talking to them and aren't really hearing you let alone answering what questions you have asked. I find this refreshing. Dr. Belanger seems to be very knowledgeable in her field. I'm having an issue with my left ankle at this time but I am confident she will get to the root of the problem and I will be well soon. If anyone were to ask me who would ever recommend as a podiatrist in the area, with all honesty I would recommend Dr. Belanger without hesitation. read more

This doctor is amazing! She answered all my questions, gave me peace of mind and solutions to my pain. I actually told her that I loved her. I can't express more how much I actually enjoyed coming to her. I would never go anywhere else. Her secretary was great and the office has a very calm atmosphere. She came highly recommended by one of my friends and now I know why. I waited until my second appointment before giving my review and I can honestly say neither appointment disappointed me. I walked out feeling well informed. The only thing I would tell new patients is the office is near jersey shore medical center closer to 18. Your GPS may not be helpful if you put the address in. If you know where cone zone is... Turn down 6th and its the back of the imaging center. Park in the back of the building and go through the back door and its your first office on the right. You will not be disappointed. The appointments are spaced out well and I never waited long to be seen. If you need a podiatrist... Pick her! read more
