I concede that the produce and fresh meats are not as up to par as other stores, but Bush's Black-eyed peas are the same everywhere and I'm happy paying less for them at Walmart. Regarding this store. This is located on the south side of Lexington. There isn't a direct path here if you are coming from the north side of the Lexington. It is six miles away but can take 20 minutes to drive to get here. If you have easy access to I85 then it is a nice direct shot. This isn't Walmart's problem, just how jacked up the roads can be in Lexington. This store is clean. I like how the self checkouts are arranged, which makes it quicker to get out. I recommend.

I remember going here as a child in the late 80s/early 90s back when there was one right near our house. Prices were always good & selection was decent. Glad to see that hadn't really changed. It's not the fanciest or nicest store out there but it's not some ghetto hangout like Wal-Mart. Staff was friendly. Too bad there aren't more of these around.

Tractor Supply, Gabe's, Belk, Ollie's Bargain Outlet, Dollar Tree, Planet Fitness are in the main area with Applebee's, Starbucks, Chick-Fil-A and Freddy's on their own spots. There is an EV charging area in the center that has both regular and Tesla connectors. The shopping center is in very good condition and there is lighting at night. First time ive been to a big lots in years. Floors are filthy. Went to grab my wallet and he handed me the bags so i was like okay (since no place to put them) imma hand em to my wife, i took 2 steps to hand her the bags he yelled so load he squeeked like a little 8 year old girl. Saying " you gotta pay" i smiled said okay but then he continued as im geeting my wallet out. So i told him "thats not how you talk to people thats how you start problems" . And he laughed outrageously crazy. Like a jester or a mad man. So as im walking out i told him to lay off the drugs. There something wrong with his eyes could be irritation ? . All you could smell through out whole store was stinch of skunk. When you got to him you could tell where the source was. Lets just say the trip to big lots will be the last or at least for another couple years.

I'm glad she thought to do that & check on her own volition. She was also friendly and overall, it's a solid choice in the area for discount items though selection can vary.

Lots of furniture for sale here and less clothes than those other two. The store is crowded and busy and overstocked but that seems intentional. There is a lot of merchandise here and it fills the space. It would be easy to get lost here. And the Amazon locker is on the far back wall. They have a wide variety of items, they also have items sometimes that you cannot get down here, but you can get further north or somewhere out west. I have not bought a bad item there and I have bought some of their meat and other frozen items. The folks that work in the store, they're great , they're helpful and very polite. If they carried everything I needed I wouldn't shop anywhere Else! Save a buck has been a Blessing as far as being able to save me Money on items I would have to pay much more for somewhere else.
