3 Part Experience
PART 1- Attaining Internet services-
I went to school at Fleming College and needed internet services in my apartment. I waited around for 20 minutes while one employee was on her computer and the man was talking to someone on the phone. Both employees didn't say hello or offer help. I felt like an ignored mouse. After the man was done talking on the phone I swooped in and asked about internet services and he directed me to the lady on the computer. What a piss off. I had been standing there for 20 mins already and she could've helped me. Since I'd already been there for now 30 minutes I thought I might as well wait around while she explains that it is going to cost me 70 dollars for internet- I couldn't get a squeak in because she was just ranting to me and not very interested in helping me. PFFFT. When she was done looking like she would rather be anywhere else but at her job I said that I am a student and would like the student deal. She looked annoyed but I eventually got interent after the nicest bell install guy came to my apartment. ALSO well I was waiting on two employees to remove their head from their arses, 4 other customers came in who were less patient then I and I am glad I got out there before a show down.
PART 2- Returning Internet Services-
This was even a worst experience than Part 1! My semester was ending at the end of April and I needed a o pack up and go home! I had had excellent wifi and had used it many times for projects and Netflix. Now I did not need my modem (internet magic box) for May because I would be returning to my home 5 hours away- by car. So 2 weeks before the semester ends I walk into Bell with my two amigos to find out how to return the modem and bid fair well to my internet at the end of April. WELL. Right off the bat there is two lady employees (one brunette and one blonde) who look at me as if I have no place to be at the bell store ever. I say "hi I'm just wondering how I would return my modem."And the employees both look at each other and roll their eyes. The blonde one (who I learned is a snob- from this experience) looks me up and down and says "You should've done this a month ago, it has to be mailed before you leave and it's going to cost you 200 dollars.. blahblah someone had to fly back from Alberta to return the modem blahblahblah this is your fault you will be charged with internet services and then pay for the modem blah." AND HERES THE THING LADY. I needed internet for the last month for all my assignments and term projects and also the office on Netflix! So why the heck would I return it a month early?! SO instead of roaring like a lion at this snobby person who I think was the one who eventually helped me attain my Internet services in the first place- I said a quick "Alright, thank you bye." My two amigos couldn't believe how rude she was and we laughed and vented about it in my car all the way down main street. Note; whoever flew back from Alberta to return a modem is a complete idiot.
PART 3 -thank god for customer service-
OKAY So after experiencing part one and 2 I was royally pissed off at bell. And worried about how much I would get charged if I just never spoke to bell again and just got a new identity to avoid modem charges. WELL I called bells toll free number and spoke to a very lovely person (who I could understand clearly) I wish I remembered her name because she was honestly just a breath of fresh air after those wangs at the bell store. I told her my issue of returning a modem and my internet needs prior (I needed April internet). She said yes this is no big deal and asked for my address of where I would be so she could send me papers to mail back the modem free of charge, just make I had make sure everything is with it. She answered all my questions and just made my bell experice much better. If it wasn't for her... I would've already been a Rogers customer.
BASICALLY,
Do not go to bell in Lindsay, Ontario because the Staff is awful and will ignore you and will stand around with their **** in their hand.
Note: after my part 2 and 3 (same day event) bell called my phone and asked for a review of employee and service. But I had had two bell encounters so I didn't know which person I was reviewing (now that I think of it- probably the one on the phone)
Phone -great person Store- snob.
I hope everyone has a better experience than I did. read more
