Came a few weeks ago for my four year old son's birthday. When I got there my mom had already ordered the pulled pork baked potato. It looked really good and she mentioned her friend always got the buffalo chicken baked potato so I got that. Potato was a bit undercooked, basic buffalo sauce and a couple of frozen chicken fingers. It was topped with cheddar and sour cream - some blue cheese in there would have been nice. I wouldn't order this dish again. My son had the Mac and cheese which was good. Both my wife and daughter got the chicken penne vodka which was really really good. My son loved, even if he was a bit scared of, the cupcake with the sparkler. Bell city dinner is my favourite brunch spot I just love coming here ! They have so many fun options to try from massive milkshakes to glittery mimosas/ margaritas to instagram worthy food options , but also having options for a simple scrambled eggs and bacon ! This time I tried the new seasonal special apple crisp cheesecake French toast ! Yes that's a mouthful to say but it was sooo good if you have a huge sweet tooth like me it was amazing !!! Always an AMAZING experience here. The service is grade A, the interior is so beautiful, they have fake cherry blossom trees, I couldn't figure out why these trees were in full bloom in the winter HAHAHA. The desserts are delicious AND the presentation makes it taste even better. So this unassuming looking diner hides a surprise. It's not what you think of as a typical diner. Cool metallic tiles, curved walls, cool art and chandeliers kick this up from diner decor to much cooler. The service was great our server couldn't have been nicer and came around just enough. I had not been to Bell City diner since it rebranded (from previous owners) a few+ years ago. I am happy to report it continues to earn its high Yelp rating and reputation for being a top local dining destination. On this Saturday late-morning, it was packed with a modest wait to get a table. This restaurant was a great find! It feeds all your senses. "Diner" is in the name but it isn't your typical diner. There's a water fountain at front & beautiful large chandeliers inside. Amazing food and drinks, we had a large group of 12 ppl for brunch and the restaurant staff handled the large group very well. All items came up as ordered, the waiter was very calm and composed kept checking on the group, and took care of our requests very well. Special applause to the variety of drinks and shakes and their massive size without high price point. The seating is well organized, have gender neutral restrooms. Even though the wait time was stated as 20 minutes we were seated quick even with our large group. There is so much options for the food, I am really thrilled how this diner is able to get everything out keeping their pace of orders coming in. We went here for my birthday and it was just perfect! They have these interesting trees outside and I thought they were real, but they put fake leaves on it!! It looked so pretty! The ambiance and setup are fun, booths are comfortable, service was good. I got the Mary Jane, it was AMAZING! And huge, got 3 meals out of it! My boyfriend got the eggs Benedict and the home fries were really good, I def judge a place on their home fries because I love them so much; nice and crispy. We came here for my Grandma's 80th birthday. There were 13 of us so obviously a large group. When our server came to take drink orders, my aunt asked for a beer list. The server pointed the beer out on the menu so my aunt asked her to take everyone else's orders and then come back to her. The server took everyone else's drink order the just walked away without taking my aunt's order. She had to order hers once the server came back with everyone else's drinks. Then when the server brought waters to the table, instead of passing them out to all of us, she put them on the table one by one and had us pass them all down to each other. Not a big deal, but just weird. Then the food came out. I had a portobello mushroom Gorgonzola burger, another aunt had a plain cheeseburger, and my fiance got the bell city banger which was supposed to come with fried onions, fried mushrooms, and bbq sauce, none of which was on there. But not only that, all three burgers got mixed up even though we claimed them as they said what they were. They just put the wrong burgers in front of us. Once we finally switched all our burgers we discovered the bell city banger did not come as advertised. As I am almost done with my burger, I notice a few bright blue spots on the mushroom. Yes, I know mushrooms are fungus, and yes I know Gorgonzola cheese is a little bluish brown in color but this mushroom definitely looked suspicious. When the server came back I brought it to her attention and just asked for her to simply check with the kitchen to make sure they don't serve any other mushrooms that had possibly gone bad. She took my plate away, while I was still picking at my fries, and returned only to tell me that the blue spots were from the cheese (which I don't really believe). She must have discarded my food even though I wasn't done but whatever. During this whole experience, my grandmother, who ordered fried clams, never got her meal. The server brought everyone else's food out then again, walked away. After a few minutes, she came to check on us and asked if we needed anything. We told her we were missing the fried clams. She said she would check on them. When she came back she said it would just be 2 minutes. It took about 10, leading is to believe she forgot to put them in. She came to check on us again and asked if everything was okay, so we reminded her again about the clam strips. This time they truly came out about 2 minutes later. When we finally finished and she brought the check over, it took us a few minutes to figure out the payment. While she didn't check on us much during the meal, she did come back to ask about the check 3 times in the course of 5 minutes. Overall, just a bizarre experience which was disappointing because we usually enjoy it there. Maybe just an off day. read more

I had one of their famous milkshakes, I chose the mocha cappuccino and my husband got the birthday cake shake. Both drinks were so good. We shared mozzarella sticks as an app. For dinner I got a special of the day, fried chicken and cornbread waffles with a peach glaze which was SO good!! I wish this were a regular item on their menu. This place is amazing!!! First off, the menu is just a bifolded laminated menu. Three total pages, not 19 like some diners that offer everything including the kitchen sink. They do what they do well, and don't try to make every dish ever invented. The chandelier is something that you'd see in a luxury hotel lobby. Very nice atmosphere to set you up for a fantastic meal. Everything is made from scratch and you can tell. The chicken soup had the most incredibly flavorful broth, which our server, Galen (who was just a gem of a guy and does his job very well) told us is made from boiling the whole chicken. That's how you make soup! The mac and cheese is made with shells, so the creamy delicious cheese sauce slithers inside and you get a nice bite of perfectly cooked pasta and gooey cheese. The crab cakes benedict were to die for. The egg was cooked so when you broke the yolk, it bathed the crispy crab cake underneath, and the hollandaise sauce was a perfect consistency. I had the home fries cooked well done so they crunched. Everything was seasoned well and we really enjoyed our meal. So worth the price paid. We will be back for sure! It's a goldmine. The place itself although on the tinier side, has beautiful decor in it. Downsides of it there I will say are: that it is a smaller place, if you have a big party I couldn't quite picture where they had the room for a group. Also they don't take reservations! so you have to wait most of the time and wing it which is hard with kids. The good stuff: The food was cooked well and tasteful. We just got basics - burgers, fries and chicken mainly but they were crunchy flavorful. The fries were my favorite. So crispy crunchy almost a battered appeal. We were greeted by the giant Cake display upon walking in & I almost knew we were going to be overwhelmed with sugar right away. The drink menu is soo easy to read & makes so much sense, All these new places with all these funky & dessert like drinks always just lump them into the regular menu and its too chaotic to distinguish, but Not here... It was easy to read with pictures of sizes and everything (MUCH APPRECIATION to whoever came up with that idea!!) We got the Colossal Shirley for the table and it was super cool!! GIANT, but Cool!!! Many kids means many plates, OMG there was so much food. Some got lunch, some got breakfast - Everything was DELISH.. The hash browns or homefries whichever they were called, were some of the best I have ever had and if you know my reviews, I eat ALOT of breakfast all over (Its my go to meal) and I feel pretty confident in saying I've prob had thousands of breakfast potatoes, and these were plain in the sense they weren't over done, but just DELICIOUS!!!! It's definitely one of the more upscale diners that we have been to. The waitstaff was amazing. We never had to ask for refills and our server always had a smile on his face.
