These guys were fantastic. It's a family owned business with friendly down to earth people. Now owned by a son, the dad (or grandpa) still hangs around a lot in his islander shirts. No high pressure sales tactics. We spent a lot of time over several visits trying to pick out a dining room set. They are open and honest about cost, quality, and more importantly value (cost to quality ratio) of their items. We weren't sure about some of the colors so they even let us take home a chair to check out the color and how it fit in our home. They have a large selection with a variety of styles to fit anyones needs. Our kids had fun running around and playing. They don't get annoyed with the kids. They have a small chest of toys for the kids. They had their own nieces, nephews, cousins, grandkids coming in and out all the time. They have a bunch of family pictures plastered all over. When compared to other stores their stuff is not cheap but you don't want cheap furniture. When compared apples to apples (quality) their prices are actually pretty decent. A few of our friends have been there and have been very happy. We were no different. Ended up buying a few more things than originally planned. We will definitely be referring all our friends. Not the greatest experience. I went in looking for a sectional. I was checking out options and prices and doing the shopping legwork so my husband didn't have to spend his whole day off looking at couches. The guy who helped me was nice, but pretty much said if I was just doing "recon" he would give me a list of their manufacturers to look at online and said to expect to spend about $2,000. I guess because I was there alone, he didn't think I was worth his time. It would have been nice to have been shown some options and maybe priced out a combination I liked. Instead I got sent away with a piece of paper with a bunch of furniture manufacturer website addresses. I went to another furniture store right afterwards and ended up getting really amazing service and bought a beautiful new sectional that same day (without my husband, by the way). I worked for a family run business before and it would have been nice to support them like my old customers did, but not if I was going to be dismissed since the "checkbook" wasn't there. read more

I'm giving Bella Furnishings 5-stars even though I didn't buy any furniture from them, it is a family run business and it doesn't seem like they'd jerk you around. The family members work the floor helping people find the furniture they are after, they carry many different manufacturers so its best to have some idea of what you want specifically or you can browse through one of the catalogs or get the websites for a couple of the pieces you like. You can check out fabric samples to take home and see how it fits in with your interior decor. I got help from the mom, then from her son for advice on couch colors. They are extremely knowledgeable on the strengths and weaknesses of a fabric or cushion, for instance. They are huge OSU Beaver fans, with a large sticker on the front door and the son and father both sporting a lot of orange and black. Locating this place can be a little tough, but its right off of Hall and right into the first driveway and around to the Hall Blvd side of the building. They don't ship the furniture, transport is required from their shop. read more

Just bought a complete family room set, sectional, recliner, ottoman, end table, 8X11 area rug. Good prices. Very nice people. Relaxed. Almost like the old days when a handshake was good enough. Delivery estimate was 4 weeks, arrived in 3. One minor issue with the Ottoman, they handled it, with no hassle. While it is true they charge for delivery, it is not unreasonable (we were quoted $125), and that is one of the reasons their prices are lower. If you don't want to pay them to do it, you can rent a u-haul truck for about $50 and haul it yourself. read more

We purchased an Omnia Leather couch and loveseat a year ago. They were so beautiful new, but have not worn well. I tried to get Bella to help fix the deflated and lumpy cushions, but they said they looked like normal wear. I tried to contact Omnia Leather but got no response. They look old and dumpy. Sean was wonderful to work with in choosing the couches but has offered no help in maintaining them. Very disappointing. read more

What great, down to earth people to work with. Sales people do not seem like sales people. They honestly seem like folks that love what they sell. Brandon helped us design our new sectional couch after really listening and understanding what we wanted. At no point did we feel rush. He literally stayed late the first time we visited to discuss options. He took the time to get to us, our family and our needs. During the Color Picking process, he would not make the decision for me. I kept begging him. He encouraged me to take my time and really be comfortable with my choice. He went as far as going outside with the samples to show me different lighting. I'm glad he did! I love my color. The slam dunk is when he told me 6 - 8 weeks. I was due with baby #2 in 3 weeks. After I whined about the timing, he actually texted the owner of the manufacturer about my pregnancy and my order~ So they rushed it. Couch showed up the day I came home from the hospital!! Talk about 2 easy deliveries. Only things we did not like~ they do not offer delivery. They provide the service, however you pay and help them at the house. After spending $3500 you would hope the delivery to be free. Lastly, he talked me out of buying insurance. I wished I did buy it. My 2 year old child loves our couch a little to much. A good ten years ago a friend told me about this place. Assuming 'good' furniture (semi-custom to fully customizable) would be ridiculously expensive, I never found time to check it out. It wasn't until I moved recently (still local) to a bigger home that I decided to give them a try. I had a small awkward space that was in desperate need of seating. I went to a number of the standard local places: Pottery Barn, Z Gallery, Macy's, JC Penny's, eventually on to Mor's, Fred Meyers and a few others I've now forgotten. I was getting tired and no one had anything remotely close to what this space could handle. I was defeated. I ventured over to Bella's. I won't bore you with the details (sorry if I fail), this is what I found: 1st- please understand that unless you're headed straight to the room of misc. in the back (crazy good deals on wicked quality random pieces), you're not likely going home with a piece that day... or next week... or even the week after that. This is mostly a place where you find your dream piece and you order it. And good things come to those who wait. 2nd- Brandon, Jesse, & Sean are the kindest most down to earth knowledgeable non-pushy wonderful souls you'd ever want selling you furniture. After a brief chat with each (and never a snub because I'm not a big spender!), you'll immediately be impressed that they care about so much more than just selling you furniture. They're all members of the local community. They're invested in it and in you. But business is business and while as an adult, you know they're there to sell you furniture... you can't help but really just wish they were all your neighbors. Because like a friend or a good neighbor, they'd rather you walk away looking elsewhere than order something you don't totally love. They sincerely want you happy. Like really. Really. And any one of the three will help you at any given time. There's no unsaid pressure that by talking to one person over the other you might be screwing up someone's sales commission. In fact for all I know, they don't even run on sales commission. Who knows. Don't care. You won't feel it's an issue and I think that rocks. 3rd- You will immediately fall in love with real furniture quality, and choices, and... oh my. And the showroom floor is just the tip of the iceberg. Find the aspects you like, ask lots of questions (lots!), then get lost in manufacturers options. And if you still can't find something from the literal thousands of options? Draw a picture. Bring a photo. Show them your Pinterest page. Because they also have a custom order option where you could literally draw out what you want and have it made to your exact specifications (reference to why I went here first - my awkward space needing seating). Note this is not the cheapest route. 4th- And last for your sake, the pricing. If you shop Pottery Barn or Z Gallery, this stuff is often cheaper!!! And 100% better quality. I WISH I would have gotten my first sofa here rather than the leather sofa and coffee table I got last year at PB. It just doesn't compare. Both quality and price are far superior at Bella. The sofa I have ordered right now, feather wrapped seating, tufted, custom fabrics, solid frame and made in USA, is literally HALF the cost of a less quality piece at a PB, less than West Elm, less than Z Gallery. (For fun I went to Rejuvenation last week... I never shop there, can't afford it: similar sofa, half as comfy, cheaper overall feel and construct, only half a dozen fabric options, pretentious attitudes, and nearly three times the cost. Vomit.) Soooo... all that to say, my first visit was in early Spring, and it's barely Fall and I'm headed back shortly for my 4th piece. It has become my first stop when looking for anything. I wanted to buy local and support a family owned business but unfortunately this has back fired as they don't stand behind their products. I purchased a $2000 couch recently and within months of receiving the product the couch fabric is covered entirely with pills. It looks like a old worn out sweater. The owner told me this is common and that there is nothing wrong with the product. Well, it certainly looks terrible and in my experience I have never seen a piece of furniture look this bad within only months of owning. Furthermore, the cushions are sagging - I rotate and fluff often as I can't stand how it looks. I am a very unhappy customer without any reasonable resolution to my concerns. I basically just gave them $2000 as I now will be buying a new couch from a different vendor. I did ask their sales lady about the fabric when I purchased the couch and if I should upgrade she assured me the fabric would wear well and no need to upgrade. I am sorry to leave such a bad review for a company that I had hoped would be better to with then the big box stores. read more

They ordered us a custom piece which was ready for delivery in 5 weeks just as promised, with a warrantee as well...I couldn't be more pleased. Was so impressed by the service. We were in the process of selling a home and for about 30 days would go in once a week to look at fabrics and decide on designs. We knew the moment the house closed we wanted to purchase so were trying to be prepared. At NO point did we feel pressured to make a sale. We dealt primarily with Sean and he was great. No high pressure sales tactics. We decided on a sofa and he told us it was a bad choice and that he has just recently received a number of complaints about that particular design. I have used bella for office furniture and home furniture. They pay attention to detail and think of the small issues (or huge) that you don't. A few year ago I ordered a custom couch that was planned to be 90 inches long by 45 inches wide. Brandon talked me into making it into two peices so that moving it wouldn't be an issues. I have moved four times since I bought that couch four years ago. And you can't even tell that it's two peices! If Brandon hadn't suggested this I would have needed to sell it. read more

Bella, is a locally family owned business that deals in a quality made product. Yes you can go to one of the big box stores and get something a little cheaper made over seas, and sold to you by a car salesman; or you can go to Bella and get treated with respect and no pressure. I basically took my ideas into Bella, showed Brandon (the owner) what I wanted and then he showed me what they have that is comparable. That was the easy part. The difficult part was picking out a fabric from the vast array of leathers and fabrics they offer. Only down fall is having to wait about 8 weeks. However good things come to those who wait. I was referred to Bella Furnishings from a friend. I was excited to buy a new sectional for my family room back in August 2014. As the other posts have commented they are very helpful in the selection process. I picked out my couch and even some fun pillows. When I was quoted 4-6 weeks for delivery I was excited about the quick turnaround. After 5 weeks I called and when I talked to Sean, he said they never quote 4-6 weeks, it's always 8-12. So I decided to wait and wait. I was hoping to have my couch for Thanksgiving, but they couldn't get it to me until that week after Thanksgiving. I ordered my couch in August! So I was finally getting my couch...the delivery truck showed up and they unpacked my couch. I looked down at the legs of the couch and one section had honey legs and the other section had espresso legs. Ugh! How disappointing. I waited 12 weeks and the order was wrong. I was excited to see my pillows. Another disappointment. I had ordered three pillows to be covered in a fun pattern and the three pillows were delivered UNCOVERED. No pillow coverings. I called Sean right away. He took care of the delivery fee after I told him I should not have to pay for it since my couch wasn't delivered to me in the way I ordered it. Now I had to wait for a time the service people could fit me in to fix my couch and pillows. In the meantime I decided to go in to the store and let them know how frustrating this experience has been. They took no blame. They said if wasn't their fault and they even paid for the delivery fee which they didn't have to. They also told me it wasn't life or death. It was just a couch!
