I called in a salad with grilled chicken and when I picked up the salad, they put the hot chicken in the salad. The lettuce was hot like it had been heated up because of this. Usually restaurants put the hot chicken on the side so the salad itself isn't hot. I also ordered garlic knots and when I got home my family eat each one out of 4 and they all were raw doughy on the inside (see photo) it was so gross. Came in July during Covid-19, i do like the precaution they are taking during this pandemic. Staff was very friendly. There is two small tables outside for outdoor seating and plenty of parking. We ordered two slices, Sausage and Broccoli Rabe & Pizza Chicken Murphy . my slice didnt have enough cheese which was a bummer. Bella Notte is a favorite local eating spot for some of my friends and me, simply because the pizza is so very good. It costs a little more than the familiar pizza chain places (like Papa John's and Domino's), but the taste of the food is so much better it's well worth it. The cheese they use on their pizzas gets me--it's so good, rich and chewy! I like their food as much as the food at some pricier Italian restaurants in the region, but the pricier places offer better ambience. This is not a fancy place. If you look out the window (or choose to dine on a table outside), you're just looking at a basic strip-mall parking lot. But the food is good. And if you just want to get together with a couple of friends, and share a memorable small pizza and each have a soda, it'll cost you a total of maybe $20. Not much! I always enjoy a visit here. Can't say how the pizza is as I don't eat much pizza. BUT the pasta dishes are delicious. I'm a big fan of the Tortellini Michelangelo "the best". They have a nice size dining area that's quiet and classy. It's BYOB. Looking around at other diners the food looks amazing! The sausage roll is huge! They do fresh sandwiches very well also. Just got a delivery of the highly rated Grandma's pizza and could not have been more disappointed. Also got clams. Both items delivered stone cold. The restaurant is only 1.5 miles away and took over an hour once I was told order being sent out, you would think driver held it outside the car. I have never had a round Grandmas but was willing to try. Cold it was not good at all and reheating just made it dry. The clams were so cold the sauce congealed. Not a pleasant experience at all. Used to live in the area and eat here from time to time, but it's been a few years. Returning here in these times of covid, they are doing everything right. Waiting and cooking staff efforts were excellent - friendly and efficient. Food was hot and tasty. Our table ordered several types of pasta - all prepared "al dente" and with generous sized portions. Cavatelli & broccoli, linguine and clam and penne Salmone all fantastic. The bread is mouth-watering and adds to an already wonderful dining experience. Great!! My daughter and I had ridden the West Essex from Verona H.S. to where the trail ended near here. While getting more water at a quick check next door (no sign of Kevin Smith), I saw this place and wandered in to see how their slices looked. We got a grandma slice and another with broccoli rabe and sausage. I can taste the quality of ingredients and was very happy to find this place. Went to pick up my food and asked for the order to be checked and the 'woman' behind the front desk refused to check and said it was checked twice. Got home and realized that I was given a wrong dinner and missing a salad. I called the restaurant back and the woman answered , I told her the issue and was told that "the owner was the Chef tonight and packed the order himself so it was correct and I got what I ordered" and if I wanted to dispute what I was given I can "come back with my food and have it checked". What kind of customer service is that? Women kept talking over me on the phone when trying to give my phone number for delivery, acussed me of yelling and screaming, then hung up.
