This is my favorite place for pizza! They have the perfect personal pizza size, with so many toppings to choose from. I don't normally write negative reviews, but this deserves no stars at all. The owner is incredibly rude. We had one simple request. The young man at the counter went to ask the manager if that was okay. The manager said they could easily grill the onions like we asked. When we got our food the onions were raw, we asked if they could grill them, but the owner was not understanding or accommodating at all. He made it seem like it was out of the ordinary and difficult to do after the agreed to follow through. We have been going to the restaurant for years, but this will be the last time. Pizza was wonderful, 12" was perfect for me & my son but the side salad was a complete miss. The salad had a horrible chemical taste the lettuce sometimes seems to have nowadays. The mushrooms didn't look washed in the salad at all & maybe I'm spoiled with the 'house made' dressing at other places... The ranch dressing here is the prepackaged weird tasting stuff as well... I had a very disappointing experience at this location. I called ahead and placed an order for a medium pizza with pepperoni, ham, cheese, and bacon. When I ordered, I specifically asked that the pizza not be made until 9:40 p.m., so it would be fresh and hot when I picked it up. The staff member on the phone confirmed this and even told me it would be ready five minutes after that time -- perfect. When I arrived at 9:20, I politely said I was early and asked if they could go ahead and start making the pizza then. Instead, I was told the pizza was already finished. That meant it was ready 20 minutes earlier than I asked for, which completely defeated the purpose of me scheduling it -- I had a 20-minute drive home and wanted it hot for the person I was bringing it to. When I tried to explain this to the manager, he was dismissive and told me he would just refund me instead of remaking the pizza. He insisted it was a "perfectly good pizza" and refused to understand that the timing was the entire point. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable -- I had clearly requested it be made at 9:40, not before. Instead of receiving understanding or basic customer service, I was met with rudeness and attitude. If I could do negative stars, I would! Just left the restaurant and will never go back. The customer service is horrible. My family and I went in ordered our food and waited. Part of our order came out with the rest "coming right out." Now 45 minutes pass so I show the receipt to the lady behind the counter and our order went to another customer and they leave. When the customer returns with the wrong order, the manager/owner takes back the order and attempts to give us the order from the other customer just returned as a wrong order. When my wife questioned the owner he raised his voice telling her to "relax and calm down" like we didn't have the right to be upset! When she told him we weren't coming back, his answer was "he can make it off his regulars". I didn't know that you can give food to one customer, take it back because it wasn't their order and try to give it to another customer because "it was in the box for 5 minutes!" I understand being busy, it is Friday night, but wrong is wrong. Customer service absolutely sucks at this place starting directly at the top! I had no issues with my food..what i did have an issue with was two young ladies walking in with a dog in arms...this was clearly a pet not a service animal...what happened to health dept regulations prohibiting animals??? I watched as an employee came out of the kitchen and interacted with the young ladies and then went back into the open kitchen...the young ladies took the dog over to the self serve drink machines and I watched as she reached for a straw and lid all the while holding the dog...she then carried the animal thru the restaurant to a table where at one point the dog was in a chair at the tabletop....never again will we eat here.... read more

I had an awful experience! I urge you DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION until they fix management!! I rarely (if ever) give 1 star. I would give it none if I could. I used to be a fan of the Bellacino's downtown Greenville before it closed and when I moved to Simpsonville I was happy to see one by me. My husband and I went in and ordered some spaghetti plates. The young girl cashier (who was high school/early college age) smiled and greeted us as we walked in and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable when making our food selections. I will also make a point to say that she was very kind and professional when taking our order as we arrived and seemed like the perfect example of a service-industry employee. When I received my spaghetti, I took a bite and it tasted like dish soap. It was absolutely gross. I passed it to my husband to try a bite and before I said anything about the awkward taste, he spit it out and agreed it was awful. My husband also got the spaghetti, so I tasted his to compare it to mine and it tasted like normal pasta- nothing grand. I took my plate up to the front and explained the situation. The sweet girl who originally took our order at the counter apologized profusely and grabbed her boss to fix the issue. Her boss told me directly that it was basically my fault because I ordered marinara for my spaghetti. Apparently, "that sauce" is "for pizza and made with lots of sugar so it's sweeter". Instead of fixing the issue he told me I basically put "a whole heap of sugar on my spaghetti so of course it was gross" and that it was my fault that I didn't order his "meatless sauce". Working in the service industry myself, and knowing what should have been done to fix the problem, it was everything in me not to just go off on this guy for blaming me for his crappy food. The kind, young girl that was the cashier and took my order when I entered, took the blame and told her boss that it was her fault when she rang it up at the register. She explained she didn't realize there was a difference in sauce and that she rang the sauce up as marinara. He turned to the cashier and in front of the WHOLE restaurant (and I might add within line-sight of ALL the customers and kitchen) he began yelling at her explaining that she should have known the difference and that lots of sugar was in marinara. Poor girl! She was almost in tears! Back to the food: After yelling at the cashier, the "boss" delivered my new bowl of food to my table and he explained to us "she (the cashier) was hard to train" (EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL OF HIM to say)! Not to mention, my food tasted the exact same. I think they even used the same bowl that I returned and just dumped it in the trash and wiped it off! Gross! I gave up on eating and walked to the bathroom. To add to the atrocity that is this jerk of a manager or owner, there was a sign on the bathroom mirror that said "please let us know if our bathroom needs attending to" and over flowing trashcans. Ummm?! Correct me if I'm wrong but shouldn't it be standard practice to check this area a couple times per shift? I hope the powers that be fire this bully of a manager (I pray he isn't the owner!) and I hope the sweet cashier knows she is an excellent employee who I would gladly hire any day. She did a wonderful job as front of the house! She smiled and greeted customers, made suggestions for orders and then when an upset customer approached her she apologized and tried to remedy the solution to make me happy. She did everything right and by the book. No one (employee or not- should be treated the way she was!) It broke my heart to see her with tears in her eyes after the boss yelled at her in front of the whole store and then I watched as he continued to badger her about other silly things while my husband finished his meal. I was in there with my family a few days ago, I noticed that a few workers looked pale, sick, and overall, horrible (no hate towards the workers) while they were making food, prepare food, etc. Other times, the boss has been completely disrespectful to his employees and towards his customers. He mocks his older customers, customers of color or different ethnicities, and has been overall disappointing and disgusting. As soon as we come in we started sliding a few tables together and the man working stopped us and asked how many we had, we told him we had around 20 and he rudely said "did anyone not think to call if you had such a big party, you know just like every other restaurant" and then rudely told us where to sit. Three stars for the food only. Ordered the Italian Grinder and 16 in sausage pizza. The place had two parties using two tables yet 6 tables were dirty. There to four people behind the counter doing various jobs but the place wasn't busy. The best seats (near the TVs) hadn't been cleaned. Thus i took the time to wipe off the table and move items to sit there. The food was hot and served up immediately. Not in a hurry to return yet the one downtown I hear is closing down. I hope someone offers a training program to ensure the business stays open long after the downtown one closes. It's sad how different both places are. Recommend for food but know that it light not be the cleanest common area you've visited in a while. read more

Horrible customer service. This will be my last visit to the restaurant. This restaurant cuts their pizza into squares which I did not know upon my 1st visit. I asked them if this is how they always do it and they said yes but next time you come just tell us you would like it cut pie style and it will be no problem. So tonight I go and order my pizzas and request them to be pie cut. The woman who took my order said it would be no problem. Before my order was ready I just double checked with the counter person on how much longer my order was and confirmed my request for pie cut. They said yes it should be done that way. I got the pizzas and something told me before I left to check them. They were not pie cut and when I brought it the their attention, the person behind the counter (not the same Who took my order) said "did the person who took your order tell you we can't guarantee that?" And I said no they didn't. He then walked away and got what I assume was the manager (I say assume because she wasn't very professional) I politely stated that I had ordered these pie cut and she said yeah that's a a request you can make but it's not promised. I said then if it's not promised then why is it a request? I politely asked if the pizzas could be remade I have no problem waiting.
