I needed a haircut for my chin length hair, and casually checked the Belle Chic Salon last Friday. They were busy, and I made an appointment with Roxanna for Saturday morning. I arrived a little early, but she kindly let me in . And, while waiting I was so impressed with the couple who were finishing cleaning the place. It was immaculate! Let me first say that I have had the worst experiences with salons in the past few years. However, that has finally changed as of this appointment. My stylist, Roxy, was amazing! She knew I was hesitant with my hair due to past bad experiences and she was very patient with me. She looked at the photos of the haircut and style I wanted and the length of hair I wanted to have by the end of the haircut. During the haircut she told me what she was doing and was very attentive. Since moving to Oro Valley I've been here a few times. Roxy has cut my hair three times and is super kind and does a great job! Super attentive and has done good work on my hair. This time, I had to call for a last minute (week in advance) hair cut and color and Magaly had an opening. She was patient and definitely showcased her skills with my hair. The color made me feel... chic! Lol. But really, always walk out of this place feeling better. Can't wait to show it off this weekend at a wedding. Would recommend both of these ladies! read more

If you ever see me without highlights - you'll know I've been in a coma or incapacitated in some way for a LONG time. I've been going to Stacey for years. She always listens and pays careful attention to what I'm asking for. Years ago, I brought a picture of Kelly Clarkson from a magazine. Said "I want my hair to look like this" - I have naturally drab, and fine light brown hair. She matched it perfectly. Small light red highlights with darker brown and fine blonde highlights sewn within. I was soooo happy. I trust her completely and often walk in saying - what do you think I should do? I'm never unhappy with the results. Like I've said before, I've been going for years so I don't really have to do the introduction stuff that she does for her other clients. - That being said - when you do go for the first time - allow a little extra time because she will ask you a lot of questions about what you want and expect. The extra time is well worth it. Her new salon is a welcome addition to Oro Valley. It is clean and bright. I actually prefer it to older location. It's conveniently located on the corner of 1st and Tangerine (behind the Walgreens - beside Subway). They also do manicures and such. Give them a try. You won't regret it. read more

My daughter went here because she got a gift card for a free haircut. Well, the lady who cut her hair asked her twice if she wants to have it colored. She did not listen at all, maybe she needs a hearing aid. The hair was cut way to short! After she blow dryed and straighten it, she startet putting the layers in. Yvette recently moved to this salon and I followed her from her last place. When I first started going to her, my hair was a mess, had been cut by several different stylists, none of whom listened. It was chopped and flat. Yvette listened carefully and my hair improved dramatically from the first cut. Iv been coming to Jericha for over a year now and followed her from her last location. I'm a senior at the UofA and have tried many stylists before I found her and she's the best there is. She cuts my hair just the way I describe and no one has ever been able to perfect my blonde ( my hair is borderline black/ dark brown) the way she has. She has over time become a friend and I always enjoy coming here even though I drive like 45 min way! I recommend Jericha to everyone! I wouldn't go anywhere else! Absolutely horrified! I went in on a Friday to get a cut with Yvette...I went to a completely different salon on Sunday to get it FIXED! Completely devastated! I had shoulder-one length hair, and I asked for a trim with soft layers... I walked out with the love child of Leif Garrett, circa late 70's and 'Carol Brady', circa 1973! I had a mushroom cloud that looked horrible. I'm tall, and she is on the shorter side... She asked me to "scooch down" so she could cut my hair. It was absolutely butchered! I will not be returning, nor will a good thing about this experience ever be spoken. I went to Karla at Mila's Hair Salon on Craycroft and River... She is fantastic! She listened to exactly what happened, and what needed to be done about it! My hair looks great and she will definitely be getting my repeat business! read more

The worst ever! Unprofessional, sloppy stylists working in a dirty salon with an owner that will fabricate/lie about the work of her stylists if a complaint is made. Not even remotely customer service oriented. Jerica did a horrible job coloring my hair and even though she used foils for color, left a 1/8 or my original hair color showing. I wrote a review for their Oracle location immediately after my tie dye hair job and it has since mysteriously disappeared along with the listing for that location. I don't generally complain and am busy person. When I did complain to the owner about my experience there, she lied about her stylists actions and her observations. A stylist can have years of experience and still do a crappy job, especially if they spend the majority of the appointment time talking to the stylist next to them who happened to be the owner. No wonder they do bad work if the owner has such low standards about doing their own client and feels free to discuss other co-workers in front of clients. I felt so horrible and shocked about my experience that I said whatever I had to say to get out there as quickly as possible. I did get the hair color that I as looking for on the first try, from another salon. read more

I showed up for an appointment for a cut, base color and highlights. There is this lady there who rents a station her name is Darla, she is rude and does not listen to what you want done, I showed her a picture of the haircut I wanted, which I had done before at another salon with no problems. She kept making excuses about the hair cut, and started cutting my hair straight across instead of short layers. Then another lady shows up with an appointment an hour after mine, and this Darla lady tells her that she can do her services which included a cut, base color and highlights going back and forth between the two of us, very unprofessional. To make matters worst she said that she was done with my cut and that she was going to mix the color to apply it, and I said you are going to layer it right? and she yells at me I know what I am doing!! very rude lady, she needs more customer service training. So I told her that I needed to go, to please remove the cape. Not coming back ever again! read more
