Finding a hotel with the right amenities proved to be our biggest challenge. We were pleased to find JS Es Corso. While it's important to remember this is not the Ritz Carlton, the accommodation is spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The decor could use updating and the bathrooms definitely could use some TLC but everything worked well and we had a lovely view from our balcony overlooking a plaza and the harbor. The closet and storage space is quite abundant and a mini fridge is provided in the room. The AC worked beautifully, both cooling the room and cutting down the humidity. We requested a cot for the baby and it was waiting in our room when we arrived. We were also able to rent a kettle and use the microwave in the dining room to sterilize the baby's bottles. Being off season now, the hotel didn't seem very crowded and when we went to the pool in the afternoons, there was only a dozen or so other guests there. The beach (Cala Marcal) was gorgeous and only about a 7 minute walk from the hotel. There is a ramp for stroller access. You can rent an umbrella with chairs there for about 12 Euro. Dining was also no problem. Never too crowded no matter what time we went morning or evening. It's a buffet so not all the dishes were hits for me but some were exceptional. I loved the ceviche, tortellini, and pretty much most everything on Asian-theme night. The offerings are fairly extensive so you'll likely find something you enjoy. My sister and I have very different palates and we both found things to make us both happy. (I enjoyed the cava and the sangria.) Last thing I want to say was that the staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. Especially the dining room staff. Trying to eat with a baby tossing toys down isn't always easy but the staff was right there to help us, whether it be getting a high chair, spending a minute or two making the baby laugh, or grabbing a toy he'd just dropped. These little things matter and were much appreciated. The front desk staff was also very helpful in getting us where we needed to go and offering advice on attractions.

A stunningly beautiful resort on the east coast of Mallorca. Immaculate well spread out grounds…read morewith a wide selection of high-end amenities (3 swimming pools, a private beach overlooking an inlet of the Mediterranean Sea, several tennis courts, and plenty of areas to just lounge and relax. The complex is massive...though you can walk between buildings (there are a dozen or so), it's much easier to travel by the resort's gold carts. Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, mine had a large balcony overlooking the grounds. There is high-speed Internet in the room though I would have preferred it to be wireless (they do lend you a cable); there is free wifi in the lobby. My only other issue was that iron and ironing boards don't come standard, you have to request to borrow one. The resort is rated 5 stars but this is largely due to the endless amenities and features than to the quality (which is more 3 or 4 star worthy). Location is picturesque but quite far from Palma and the airport---expect a 1 hour + taxi ride and a 60 euro fare. Nearby Porto Petro village has a few restaurants and bars but is quite small. If you come to the Blau expect to spend most of your time at the resort which is not necessarily a bad thing.

I prefer to be served but the lines for food is so long and such an international clientele that it is probably the best way for them to go. We walked to town and it was not peak season so not crowded. The harbour town gives you some Spanish flavour but you need a car to explore the island --- or just stay and relax in the resort. It feels like a cruise ship experience. Many pools. One pool is warm Much walking. It is €89 to Palma or 1 1/2 hr bus ride. Things to see there. Only relax or walk at resort. There are yoga classes in a schedule. There are bikes or kayaks that are part of the fee to use. But no laundromats to be had. The resort charges a fortune to wash your clothes, so just hand wash and dry in the clothesline in the bath. The spa is part of your fee too and it is really nice. We did drive to Santanyi for market day on Weds. 8-1pm and it was a treat. But at the resort, just relax. If you want to be a tourist, stay in Palma or up North. Too bad the wifi is so sketchy. Seems no one here bothers with yelp so many things are not listed nor reviewed here. People want to keep it their little secret? It is mostly Germans here and their kids. I am sure the peak season is a madhouse. But we were a conference so it was ok for us. The yoga was done in 4 languages....pretty amazing teacher. There is an app you can download to get the most current events, the sheets at the reception are generally off a day or two. I walked out to the lighthouse and that is worth doing for the views. Breakfast buffet is included in your room-- although no one told us, and they will make eggs to order and everything you can imagine is there to eat. So you have to be bold and explore a bit. At least they have an adult pool when the kids screams drive you wild. The beds around the pool are dreamy.
