They also do skate camps during the summer. It's next to the soccer and baseball fields and a bathroom is available. Usually populated by teens, it's refresching to see that most are cordial and rarely do I see kids smoking or hear swearing (I'm often at the bus stop with my younger kids). I like the set-up of this park: it has small hills to the west, the parking garage to the south, and the bus bays to the east. There is an "active" graffitti wall, as the City encourages pent-up teen taggers to let loose on this wall - and the results are usually pretty creative! I always thought this was a terrific idea to discourage graffitti elsewhere, by allowing it in certain public spaces. Looking at the skate park proper, it seems to have all the rails and ramps that most other skate parks have - perhaps just in a more constricted space.

There's a paved walking path where people are taking a stroll, walking their dogs, or practicing Tai Chi if you happen to be there in the morning. With tons of green, there's also a good amount of people picnicking and frolicking. I love that there's a rim of water that lines the park. It really adds to the serene vibe and is home to plenty of cute ducks. Absolutely love this park! I almost always choose to walk through the park if the route I'm on permits it :)

I highly recommend parking in the Macy's garage or any of the garages near Nordstrom, as they're only about a five-minute walk and super convenient. Parking is free and generally easy to find, though the structures can sometimes close when they're completely full. Even then, there are plenty of other garages nearby that are still within a short and easy walking distance. I absolutely love downtown Bellevue, it's one of my favorite places to visit because of the great food, drinks, and overall atmosphere. Bellevue Downtown Park is amazing for so many reasons. The grass is very well maintained, making it perfect for picnics or a relaxing walk. There's a beautiful fountain, small ponds throughout the park, and you'll often see ducks swimming around (though probably not during the colder season). In the winter, there's an ice rink, and during the summer it's especially lively with events like food festivals and farmers markets. I would definitely recommend stopping by Bellevue Downtown Park, especially if you have some downtime before a reservation, it's a perfect spot to walk around and enjoy the area.

You can see everything from River otters, ducks, geese, and the occasional deer and rabbits on the trail. The park is also connected to the dog park so after your furry friends are done playing in the park, you can wear them out more on the trail. My only grip is that pet owners need to learn to take their poop bags all the way to the garbage instead of leaving them along the trail for others to take care of. Other than that, this is a great family trail!

The trails were relatively well maintained but not particularly wide and, as others have said - quite a bit of garbage around. Lots of fun things to look at and very accessible for our kids. I did notice that a number of trees look like they are unhealthy and perhaps needed to be taken down. Lots of shade for a warm day.
