Poor Service. Failed our vehicle when it has passed at every other smog station. Emissions are fine, but we have an aftermarket catalytic converter that was installed 6-7 years ago because of theft and they did not pass it. The new cat obviously works bc emissions are fine. Still charged 165$ and now have to deal with california regs trying to get it approved. This place is expensive and uber nitpicky. This mechanic does not know what a a certain ASM TEST is or doesn't READ what I needed. He says on the phone he can do the test and assured he can but when we got there he calls it a "misunderstanding". The person at front doesn't know what his doing and is incompetent. What a waste of time! *Update owner George contacts me and demands I retract my review. No way! The review is accurate and true. His explanation that we were informed that the test could not be done before hand is a complete lie! We were told on the phone and on messages that it can be done and to just come in. We even sent a sample of what we needed! His response here stated we were informed. Don't believe his lies. I have screenshots! He said we have no proof that we asked a specific test. After I sent proof of the messages the owner never responded. No apology. His mission statement about customer service is full of BS. He defends lousy service and threatens with a lawsuit. Go AHEAD! Just went to these guys for a smog check. The guys behind the counter were rude off the bat, which was fine at first as they did the Smog Check quickly, however when I went to start my car I found that it wouldn't start after they handled it. Come to find out they had broken my key and lost the transmitter but hadn't planned to tell me. After eventually having them find it for me, they told me it was my fault for not telling them the key could come apart. Bad service, lack of accountability and expensive. Been going here for years. With multiple cars in my house, they've made well over a thousand dollars off of me. They'll also never seen another penny from me. Maybe it's all those planes flying fifty feet over their heads that makes them cranky. I saw him brush someone off because they failed their smog test, gave them zero explanation as to why. The whole time he did my smog test same thing both AirPods in watching Netflix. I don't plan on coming here again. I also don't recommend anyone to bring business to this place. You're better off going across the street to ACA. I had taken my truck here and it was my first time ever using this place for a smog. The service was not great from the start. I pulled up in front of the shop to get my truck smogged and there was no one waiting(the only good part of the whole visit). I walked up to the counter and the guy behind the counter rudely asked me if I was there for a smog and I said yes. After that, with a very rude attitude, he told me next time to park in a parking spot and not in front of the shop. He never once tried to show any kind of good vibes at all and always had an attitude when speaking to me. Also, since when does it cost $90 to smog a vehicle? Every other shop I drive past, it is no more than $60. The rudeness of the employees and the high cost of a smog compared to other places is not what I had anticipated when coming here.
