History

Established in 2011.

Bellingham Dance Company was founded by Mary Simler Evans as a place where independent teachers could offer their love of dance to the Bellingham Community. As a place where people could come to learn dance from Knowledgable, Certified instructors in the various dance forms of Social, Competitive, Cultural and Traditional. With the help and support from our dance community we have been able to open up a dance floor, and continue to add upgrades for a truly unique and wonderful dance space!

Meet the Business Owner: Mary S.

Mary has been teaching social and competitive dance for 18 years. Ceritified Grand Master of Dance through Dance Vision International Dancers Association (under National Dance Council of America). With a love of performance and theater, Mary presents many opportunities for her students to perform, compete, and really push to their goals as dancers. However, she also recognizes the huge social aspect of dance and provides weekly a place for her students to just come and dance with each other. Also, Mary connects with other dance communities in her area and surrounding areas and makes sure her students know where they can go dance! With her many years of teaching, Mary personalizes each and every lesson to the needs of the individual student; and in group classes she offers enough information to push her students, but to also guarantee success in learning. Above all of this, Mary loves to dance! And Fun is top priority!
