Pizza thing. Ate as much as i could for politeness. Absolute shite.

A nice ambiance with a lot of energy in the and a great location. The food is terrible though. We started with the calamari and it was 60% random vegetables and everything was lukewarm with the breadcrumb coating soggy and falling off. The calamari was rubbery too. The wife had a Riesling, replaced with another from Washington, and both tasted more like a Yellow Tail boxed wine. We had pizza, chicken parm, and some chicken mushroom thing. I'd love to see a video of the cooks (no way they are chefs) eating their own crap. The pizza was cold, I assume the manager levels food waiting until the table is ready - you're a muppet, by the way - and the entrees were just plain bad. No flavor, over cooked meat, over floured sauces, and an italien sausage on the pizza that was straight from Price Chopper. My mother could make better food and she's been dead 10 years. Manager - FFS, do better.

The Quattro Formaggi. The worst cheese pie I've ever had. First words out of my kids mouth, dad , this tastes like pasta.

any respectable restaurant with a brick oven, that wants to charge 20+ bucks for a pizza should know how to make a Neapolitan pizza dough. The large cheese pizza tonight was awful. it tasted like the used their house spaghetti sauce on it. It was about an inch thick, heavy and soggy. The smaller Broccoli pizza was marginally better, thinner, crunchier but had zero flavor. hands Down the worst pizza I've ever had and I live in North Carolina where Dominos and Papa John are considered top notch. It wouldn't be that difficult to make an enormous improvement if the chef /kitchen manager gave a half a shit. If I hadn't paid 44.00 for these two pies, I wouldn't have put any effort into a review.

Linguine with Alfredo sauce and shrimp

I have had many good experiences eating here but tonight we decided to order take out for the first time - that was apparently a mistake. We were in the area and needed to do some grocery shopping next door so ordered in person and came back to pick it up. Tried to order fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and since this was not exactly on the menu there were up-charges for the sauce as well as the shrimp. (this was not explained by the girl at the front desk) After a 15 minute drive home, hungry and ready to eat, we eagerly opened up the take out box only to find a $25 child-sized portion of pasta and 4 shrimp. We even had to remove the tails! Honestly we would have been okay with the price if it was justified by the portion size, which in this case was a sad excuse and probably half of what would have been given if we had dined there. Called the restaurant for an explanation of price and size/amount and was told it was indeed an $8 upcharge for 4 shrimp, $1.50 for the sauce and $15 for the linguine. Was told sorry and the phone call promptly ended. I would advise against ordering take out here and next time I'll just go to Olive Garden for a reasonable portion at half the price.

Bellini's Italian Eatery is a very nice Italian restaurant located in the Price Chopper Plaza, next to those nice roundabouts. My folks took me here for my birthday dinner. The atmosphere is very nice here, the place is dimly lit. The bar area and takeout counter/open wood fired oven pizza kitchen are in the front. The main dining area has shiny wood tables with rows of table seating and booth seating, candlelight at each table. There's also outdoor sidewalk seating and a backroom too. We made reservations for a typical weeknight and were seated in a cozy booth in the upper tier, higher level than the rest of the dining area. We looked over the menu which looked very interesting. Our server (James) took our drink order 2 coffees and 1 Diet Coke ($2.75 each) and explained to us the 4 course "supper club" deal, with pasta dishes starting at $20, and classico dishes starting at $25. You get 1) mozzarella bread, 2) choice of soup or salad, 3) entree, and 4) choice of mini dessert (chocolate cake $3 extra). We opted for the "supper club" deal. Cavatelli ($20), Linguine ($20), and Pappardelle ($22). STARTERS: A standard hot loaf of bread with cheese, pesto, & olive oil dip was brought out first and was very good. Next the loaf of mozzarella bread with marinara sauce was like eating a French bread pizza, sort of reminded me of my favorite cheese breadsticks with sauce at Papa Gino's (a New England chain). We shared a Stack ($9.95): thinly sliced eggplant cutlets, roasted tomatoes, buffala mozzarella, layered nicely with sprinkled parsley, delicious! SALADS: My folks each had a Caserta: baby spinach, mixed greens, crispy pancetta, red onion, roma tomatoes, buffala mozzarella, and a citrus vinaigrette dressing, which had a fresh sweet taste. I had a Zeppa: baby iceberg wedge gorgonzola crumbles, crisp pancetta & tomato slice, a great start! ENTREES: The old guy (I'm using alias) had the Cavatelli (sweet sausage, spinach, chunky tomato, roasted peppers & garlic) which had a nice spicy kick with al dente pasta. Lil mama had the Linguine (PEI mussels, littleneck clams, garlic, herbs, & marinara over firm linguine) was excellent and had great flavors. A small bowl for the shells was provided. I had the Pappardelle (seared chicken, asparagus, artichocke, sundried tomatoes, wide noodles tossed in a garlic cream sauce) which was very tasty and rich. All of us ended up getting our food "doggy-bagged" since we filled up on bread and appetizers and needed to save room for dessert. DESSERTS: The old guy had a Cannoli (crispy shell filled with pistachio ricotta filling with chocolate chips on the outside) which was sweet and just right. Lil mama had a Mini White Chocolate Cheesecake (with with white chocolate shavings & raspberry sauce) was very good, homemade and not too sweet. I had the Chocolate Kahlua Mousse which was light and creamy tasting the chocolate flavors. SERVICE: The service was very professional throughout the entire meal. Our waiter (James) explained the menu very well and checked up on us often offering complementary refills on coffee, brought out a complementary fresh Diet Coke with lemon without asking, and delivered our food and clearing dishes in a timely manner. We were also offered fresh ground black pepper and sprinkled cheese on various food items. Overall, I had a fantastic birthday dinner with great food and service. The 4 course "supper club" was a great deal! My folks really enjoyed Bellini's as well and told me, excellent choice at picking a place for dinner. Bellini's Italian Eatery of Slingerlands gets a well deserved 5 STARS. WEBSITE: http://www.eatdrinkbellinis.com IRRELEVANT YELP FUN: This is the second restaurant named Bellini I've yelped. The food takeout is not worth the wait and over priced. They stated 20-25 minutes and it was closer to an hour.

I was promised that Grappa 72 would exceed my expectations. As an Italian-American AND a foodie, it's hard to wow me at an Italian venue. I can honestly say that this place was all that I was promised and more. What we ordered to share: crispy arancini (special app that day), eggplant parm, fried calamari. I am a red sauce snob, and all three of these delivered on presentation, quality, and overall flavor. Entrees we ordered included: halibut (entree special and my choice), pappardelle loaded with shrimp and chicken (also a special), pork osso bucco (stole the show!). We ended with individual desserts, and their Italian cheesecake was smooth and creamy. Service was reflective of high-end dining, yet the check for six people was moderate to affordable. Considering the quality, quantity, and overall experience, this is a place I need to get back to. Now I need to find an excuse to be in the Capitol Region so I can go back!

She had lots of recommendations for what drinks and dishes to order, and she was really attentive towards our party. When we sat at our table, we helped ourselves to the fresh table bread and tapenade while we decided what to order. I decided to get the seafood special, which was a grilled branzino served with blistered green beans and wild rice. While the dish tasted a bit too oily for my liking, there was LOTS of food that came with this dish - enough for me to pack as a lunch the next day! What was also memorable about this experience was the live music playing at front. This is a very nice Italian resto for special occasions and date nights.

We then shared the flat iron steak, which was cooked perfectly. We also enjoyed a few glasses of a Tuscan blend, which was just the thing to complement our meal. All in all, it was the perfect Saturday date night dinner, in a cozy, romantic setting. We trudged through the snow, back to our hotel, happy and full. We'll definitely return.

Rosanna's -- A Genuine Gem That Deserves Every Star There…read moreare restaurants you visit and forget, and then there are restaurants that stay with you long after the last bite. Rosanna's is firmly in the second category -- and after an exceptional dinner that left both of us completely satisfied and already planning our return visit, I cannot recommend this place highly enough. From the moment we walked in, the ambience set the tone for the entire evening. Warm, inviting and thoughtfully designed, Rosanna's strikes that rare balance between intimate and lively -- the kind of space that feels equally suited for a romantic dinner for two or a celebratory night out with people you love. The lighting is soft without being dim, the energy is buzzing without being overwhelming, and every detail of the room communicates that this is a place that genuinely cares about the experience it creates for its guests. The service matched the atmosphere perfectly. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu -- not in a rehearsed, corporate way but in the way that only happens when staff actually love where they work and believe in what they're serving. Questions were answered with confidence and warmth, dietary considerations were handled graciously and without any fuss, and the pacing of the meal felt exactly right. Not rushed, not forgotten -- just perfectly timed. It is the kind of service that makes you feel like a valued guest rather than just another table to turn over. Now the food -- where do we even begin. We started with the Shrimp Balls and they were an immediate knockout. Perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented and gone far too quickly. The arugula dip alongside them was bright and fresh -- a genuinely clever pairing that elevated what could have been a simple appetizer into something memorable. This dish alone would be worth coming back for. For mains we ordered the Wild Mushroom Risotto -- elevated with a grilled shrimp skewer addition that turned an already outstanding dish into a complete and deeply satisfying meal. The risotto was everything a great risotto should be -- creamy without being heavy, deeply savory with layers of earthy mushroom flavor, finished beautifully with truffled pecorino that added just the right amount of richness. The shrimp skewer on top was perfectly grilled, plump and fresh -- a brilliant pairing with the earthiness of the mushrooms. Our dining companion ordered the Boneless Beef Short Ribs which arrived tender, deeply flavorful and beautifully plated -- the kind of dish that makes you close your eyes on the first bite. What makes Rosanna's truly special is that everything works together -- the room, the service, the food and the overall feeling of being genuinely well taken care of. This is not a restaurant that relies on one strong element to carry the others. Every component earns its place. Whether you are celebrating something special, treating someone you love or simply in search of a great dinner in wonderful company -- Rosanna's delivers on every level. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation. You will not regret it. And the pellegrino soda was great I got the blood orange! And we took the olive oil orange cake to go yum!

The cuisine was Italian inspired, and heavy on vegan and gluten free option, which is a great find locally, if you're looking for that. We were sat upstairs and I enjoy the ambiance here. I will note that the chairs are uncomfortable, which does not make a cozy dining experience. The cocktail menu was really great, a lot of gin options which is right up my alley. I had the Corpse Reviver and a glass of wine, both were great. We started with the shrimp balls, which sounded intriguing. They ended up being delightful, almost like loose crab cakes. The flavors were great and I loved the pesto. For my entree, I opted for the lemon mushroom tagliatelle. The pasta was very fresh and chewy, loved that. I enjoyed the combination of lemon and mushroom on the dish, but there were so many different mushrooms of all different textures, that some bites were more enjoyable than others. The snapper puttanesca was gorgeous as well. Overall it was a good meal, but I might have liked it a little more before the change. Definitely a great option if you are looking for dietary restrictions.

We were seated in the back of the main room which was cold (the A/C was cranking due to the heatwave outside), loud (from people, not music). The side room was lit more invitingly and I think I would want to be there. I heard Frank Sinatra on the radio when we walked in, but within 30 minutes the place was packed and it turned into a raucous environment. We started off with garden salads with their homemade tomato basil dressing. It sounded fantastic but I quickly discovered it was loaded... absolutely loaded... with red onions. My wife bravely ate hers and the pile of onions kept growing on the side of her plate. I couldn't eat mine because of them so they took it away. They offered to remake it sans onions but I decided to hold out for my entree. My wife thought it was overdressed, but for a chopped salad such as it was I think it was fine. My veal Marsala was excellent. Every restaurant does theirs differently and here it wasn't too sweet or too garlicky. The bread on the table was crustier than an old pirate which made it difficult to eat with the table oil dip provided. However, it was perfect for sopping up the veal's sauce. My wife had Chicken Sorrento and the portion was absolutely humungous with a slick cheese shield on the top. She felt bad that my portion of veal was much smaller in comparison, but I had the last laugh as I thought her dish was just average. It all came down to the red sauce: every place tastes different and here it tasted a bit more like stewed tomatoes. (FYI: no place makes it as good as my grandmother). I am glad I ordered a non-red sauce dish, though my side of penne with only light sauce (per my request) was decent. Their dessert menu was nice but uninspiring. That's okay, as we were mostly full. Prices were fair for a white table cloth Italian restaurant, though not inexpensive. That being said, I much prefer the place in Loudonville which has more interesting entrees and comparable prices.
