Sometimes it is the small differences that often go unnoticed, and it is only when you see them again that you realised that they have disappeared throughout England. Drinks here were reasonably priced enough and the service from the bartenders was friendly. Although quaint in here, it seemed like it had been a long time since they had looked after the flooring or the fittings and furnishings - many of them looked well loved and worn in places. On the evening that I visited, the locals were enthralled with the England match that was being shown (with great volume) on a projector screen. I think perhaps I would enjoy returning here on an evening without the sport showing, as I feel it would have a massively different vibe. So strange to see a cigarette machine.

Upon arrival, the view was stunning as the weather could not have been better. The location was slightly remote but allowed for an unspoilt view of the bay. The restaurant was really nice inside, clean and fresh and included a kids play area to keep the kids entertained during our visit. Although the order was quite large the staff were brilliant and the food and drinks were prompt however we did have to give them a nudge when some of our side dishes went missing. The food was cooked perfectly and we had no complaints, the desserts were just as good including the "do it yourself" ice cream machine (although it still needed to be operated by a member of staff though). To say we were having a good time would be an understatement as we were having a blast and we were the last to leave at the end of the evening, the staff were very accommodating towards this even allowing the "big kids" to use the play area even when they shouldn't. Shh, don't tell anyone. Overall we had a great evening out and could not fault anything (although maybe the mention of a Tripadvisor review help.) The food was nice, but perhaps not nice enough to wait such a long time for. My moules were fine, but rather on the small side. There are much better restaurants in Jersey in a similar price bracket, I'd always pick El Tico over this place every time.
