Then along came this "kid"from Indiana. Jackie Savage, the founder and CEO of this organization is a bright, energetic, young woman who knew what Pueblo needed: good outpatient therapy for those with neurologic disorders and Speech and hearing disorders. She could work anywhere but even more she could be a CEO of many organizations that I've seen. She impresses you and motivates you as well as teaching you and doing the evaluation. She's trained in and expertly performs laryngoscopy but she also uses it a teaching and learning tool for patients during the procedure. She has assembled an outstanding group of young therapist, fully trained, and full of motivation and energy that can't help but infect you. They will get you on the road to recovery. In addition she will also periodically have graduates from Speech degree programs doing their post graduate year. How would I know all this?After all, I have no ENT or neurological training. I am a Patient. I have Parkinson's disease and they have helped me maintain my gain by facilitating a.weekly group of Parkinson's patients pot therapy called " Loud Crowd". The center is at the corner of D Street and Victoria Avenue. It is clean, bright, and inviting. We entered through the Victoria Street entrance which you can see in my pictures. This entrance walks you through a picturesque garden and outdoor sitting area. I was informed that this space has been used for sessions on occasion. Once you enter, you are greeted with a smile from the woman working at the front desk giving a feeling of "this is where I need to be." You can see so much of what services the company offers by going to their website. But what you may not be able to tell from the website is how much the people care about their clients. Of course I wasn't given any client details, but they speak of their clients like family. They care about the people they are helping. If you find yourself, or someone you know, needing speech therapy in Pueblo, CO in the areas of speech, language, voice, swallowing, and cognition, this the center for you!

My daughter is only 3 and is already counting, singing Bible songs, spelling and writing her name and a few other letters, learned all her colors and shapes, counts objects, and begs to go to school. At first my daighhter was scared to go to school, within a few weeks she cried when I would pick her up because she didn't want to leave. My daughter also started school as a very strong willed child. She wasn't always following the rules and made it difficult for her teacher to teach. But Mrs. Linda and Ms. Lily work ad together and came up with a way to keep her in class, following the rules, and with time and patience they got her to listen and she still loves school. On top of learning, the kids have fun! They have many craft projects, time outside on the playground, indoor play time, and the teachers are always observing ensuring the students are safe and being nice. Ms. Lilly is ALWAYS looking to purchase new items for the students from playground equipment to science kits. Lily is always around helping teachers and answering parents questions. But what I love most about her is that she truly believes in the school and works endlessly to improve the experience for the students. Like I mentioned before, she is always buying new things to make learning fun. I've worked at a school where none of the funding ever went to the students. But at Pueblo Christian Academy, it is easy to see where the tuition goes and it goes back to the students.
