I enjoyed the experience I had at Belmont a little while ago. Service was friendly, wine was sweet and good, and the food was delicious! I had a mouth-watering spinach-artichoke dip, along with a flatbread pizza. My guest ordered the chicken wings and was also very happy with that choice! I must warn, that if you visit here with kids, there is no kids menu. You'll need to get creative. But no, it's not bad to bring the kids to the Belmont patio!! More signage on the route would have assisted in locating the venue. The wines tested were okay. Service was minimal as they were setting up the area for a jazz band later that evening. Possibly additional help would be arriving later in the day. I had to walk to the bar to purchase wine as the waitress was busy. The vast majority of the seating was reserved for the evening entertainment. My suggestion is to all prior to going. This would give you information about possible entertainment, which would tip you off to the availability of seating read more

I have been plenty of times to this great winery located right off 44 and Leasburg. They have a great outdoor patio with plenty of seating along with another patio covered by a pavilion. This area sometimes has bands that come to play music. The inside is very nice with plenty of seating and windows to enjoy the view. The food is very good and have never had an issue ordering. We have tried a variety of the food offered and all was amazing. The chef even came out to talk to us as she takes great pride in what she does and makes and you can tell! The wine is great as well and they do offer a tasting inside at a nice bar as well as outside. This is a gem of a winery with great food and wine but more importantly, a great chef! read more

Beautiful scenery, clean and classy interior and exterior, live music, and good wine already made this vineyard a win but the food is what has me obsessed. We weren't too hungry so we got some wings as an appetizer. I am picky when it comes to wings so I wasn't expecting anything special but these wings were delicious. They were crispy and flavorful and definitely something special. We shared the swordfish tacos and they were amazing. The swordfish was cooked perfectly and the sauce and seasonings all made for a delightful bite. I wish they were closer to home so I could return more often but I will certainly be back next time we are in the area. read more

Lovely winery with a large tasting room, cellar door, restaurant and terrace seating. It was a great stop along Highway 44 to take in the countryside. Staff was friendly and cheeky, letting us sample a few extras. A slow country-type band was playing when we were there, which isn't really my thing, but it was relaxing nonetheless. We stopped by mid day on a Saturday to taste wine and have lunch. We enjoyed the wine and the service but the surprise is the food. My wife had the dry rubbed wings and I had buffalo style hot wings. Both were amazing. I really think they were the best wings either of us have ever eaten. The hot wings had a flavor I couldn't place. A smokey Herb taste or something. Really good. Our table also had the catfish basket which was delicious. And the artichoke dip was perfect. We haven't tried the fine dining menu but based on the lunch we will need back to try it. Visited Belmont on a Saturday evening, we didn't have a lot of time, so we had to by pass the people trying to get us to pay for the outdoor music. We got in and they have a terrific view and outdoor space. I can imagine sitting out here for hours and enjoying music or even just relaxing. The inside is amazing too. We have eaten at Belmont numerous times and we have never been disappointed by the food, wine, service or ambiance. This is a hidden gem that offers fire cooked pizza, specialty dishes and signature burgers. The staff is great at matching your food to the right wine and making your meal perfect. We live in the St. Louis area and make special trips just to come here. read more

Trish and Jeff invited us to their vineyard to check out their recently opened Bistro, featuring live music Saturday afternoons and evenings. We celebrated my husband's birthday here on a Saturday evening and had a great time! The staff is friendly. The wine flows. The tastings are great. We even enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of the winery operations. The sunset was beautiful, as well. All in all, a great way to spend an evening! read more

We visited this winery last summer & thought it was quaint, the owners were very friendly & accommodating. We enjoyed the dry wines they had to offer at the time. On the way to Augusta today we stopped to revisit. We were disappointed the dry wines weren't available yet. We didn't try the sweet wines (which may be very good) because we don't care for sweet wines in general. I was mostly turned off by the attitude of the young woman giving the tasting. She was folding napkins behind the bar in between tastings & acted like she really didn't want to be there. read more

went on a Saturday afternoon about 2 pm waited at bar 10 min no help, sat a table for 10 min still no help no one in sight except a couple of diners I wondered where they got it.i used to stop here 3-4 times a year and get good good pizza and a bottle of wine. went to car to make a call came back and asked for a taste. was told to go inside and started tasting 1 red the rest light reds, I usually buy a red to go,was told the other red was reserved for people that were going to buy it. so instead of letting me try a red I usually by I left without pizza or a bottle,was really disappointed will never go again which is a shame I used to really look forward to going but I guess my sales are not worth the effort. read more

On Saturday evening, August 2, 2014, my wife, 2 grown children and I visited the Belmont Winery in Leasburg, Missouri for dinner. This would be our 3rd visit in less than a year. The pizza was pretty good the first couple visits so we decided for a 3rd time. Our daughter was in town after being gone all summer and would leave the next day and be gone for a while longer so we all wanted to eat somewhere nice as a family all together for the first time in a long time and with good food so we thought we could depend on Belmont another time for that. When we arrived in the inside restaurant seating area, we waiting for about 3 minutes with nobody paying an ounce of attention to us. Finally a lady pointed for us to go sit at an empty table so we did. For 10 minutes we sat with no attention and no menus to look at. Finally I was able to get the attention of a lady who works there and let her know we had been sitting for several minutes and that we sure would like menus. She really did not act like she was too happy to even acknowledge our existence as she fanned me off and went over to the register area and it took another 5 minutes to bring menus. Then I had to ask for a wine list as well. Of all places where I should not even think I needed to ask for the wine list, in a winery, but think again, that was obviously not the top thing on their minds to promote and sell their wine at the winery. Unbelievable! Then we ordered and the gal brought us our wine order and we sat and sat and sat and sat and sat. It was about 45 minutes after we ordered that she said they were just putting our pizzas in the oven and it should only be 5 minutes. I was about to just ask for it to go as it was already more than an hour since we came in the door and were seated. She came back another time to let us know the wait would be a few more minutes and finally more than 90 minutes after we ordered our pizzas, they were ready. It was late, I was very hungry, and I was now pretty mad, but I masked that emotion for the most part from anyone inside the restaurant. We asked for the pizzas to be placed in "to-go" boxes so we could just leave. She brought us the bill and it included a charge that was not ours so it took another 15 minutes for her to straighten that out so our pizzas were cold by the time we left the restaurant. We drove the 30 minutes back to our hotel and ate cold pizza after 10:00 PM at night. What a pathetic experience. There was hardly an apology, just excuses. They could have at least told us it would take a long time to get an order of pizza done. There was no offering of a reduced price or a coupon of good will for a next visit. I will NEVER be returning to the Belmont winery. They really let us down on August 2nd. There are more than 150 wineries in Missouri so you would think that with all that competition they would be on their game but they really ditched all hope of showing us they appreciate our business. It is too bad as we really liked this winery, but not anymore. read more
