Stuart advertised on gumtree stating that he would supply and fit carpets within 3 days of order. We foolishly listened to his well polished sales talk and transferred £3240 for carpets to be supplied and fitted in our extension. Multiple excuses followed over the course of approx 8 weeks which ran from a flood has ruined the carpet, carpet delivered faulty, the fitter is sick, the wholesaler has delivered to the wrong location and the fitter didn't collect the carpet in time from the wholesalers. Following explaining our concerns and intention to report to the police he yet again promised to fit on a number of occasions and then refused refund. He admitted spending our money and has stated his bank account is frozen and he has no money to buy the carpet or refund us. He continues to reorder the carpet to show the invoice to prove he will fit the carpet but having rang the wholesalers they state that they won't give him anything without payment because ' they know what he is like' Internet searching now reveals that He was struck off companies house in Oct 19 and goes by multiple business names , personal names and email addresses. Stuart Glenister, stuart Hart, Belvoir carpet and flooring, sisal flooring, home choice carpets to name a few. Do not be fooled by this man! We are now in the process of reporting him to the police, trading standards and pursing through the small claims court. read more

Do not use this company . They are dishonest , and pray on elderly customers . The owner of this company took without consent the full amount for the alleged work he intended to carry out for my 75yr old mother . 13 weeks later nothing , no carpets, no refund . This is the type of service you can expect - shocking !!! We no have no alternative but to go through the small claims court . Added on the 17/6: I would like to update my review , after my mother told us Stuart had taken the money and failed to complete the agreed work . I contacted him personally . He did agree to complete it and within 24hrs this was done to a reasonable standard by a fitter other than Stuart. Stuart then proceeded to harass me daily asking me to remove this review this was by text or calling , sometimes three times a day When I failed to do this he threatened to take me to court for slander . When I still refused he said he would go to my mothers house and start harassing her. This again is a demonstration of how this man conducts himself . Be very aware if you are considering dealing with Stuart Glenister. He will overcharge, be late with promised times, continually provide excuses as to why he is late or not done what he has said he will. Even when he has agreed a credit for the overcharging he will prevaricate for months and years over payment and then when sued will still not pay even when judgement is entered. The kindest thing we can say about Belvoir Carpet & Flooring and the owner Stuart Glenister is that they are totally and completely unreliable. But that would be too kind. If you want some flooring supplied and fitted on time, without fuss and with minimal disruption then this is a company to avoid. We ordered some wooden flooring for our dining room and (foolishly) paid for the materials up front. The first date for fitting, chosen by Stuart, was 23rd November. On 22d November we moved all the furniture from that room into our lounge. When no one arrived we were told that the job had been booked for 30th. No one appeared on that date either, or 7th December or 13th December, all dates set by Stuart. Apparently this was all the fault of the fitters, plenty of apologies and excuses but no corrective action. He sounds plausible but it is all hot air. When we were let down again on 19th December I told Stuart that I either wanted a full refund or the materials by noon on 22nd December. We moved the furniture back into a dining room with a concrete floor in time for our guests arrival for Xmas! Stuart phoned me just before noon to tell me that he didn't have the materials and insufficient funds to return our money. We are now starting the legal process to recover our money. read more
