Since June 2017 when our previous lease expired we lived under the constant threat of losing our shop and our livelihood. There were weeks where no progress was made. Our calls and e mails requesting updates frequently went unanswered. When they did come back to us their tone was often surly and arrogant. They posted correspondence to the wrong address and we didn't receive correspondence they claimed to have sent. Delays were always blamed on other parties. In the end, after 8 months of stress, they held us to ransom: if we didn't pay their fees (which we still dispute) they would not complete. If you are looking for an experienced solicitor whom you can trust to represent you well and your company's best interest, do not engage Fraser Brown.

Further edit to clarify their reply: They agreed a fee in 2015 with a seller, and I agreed as the buyer to pay those legal fees (it was concerning a freehold purchase). The fee was a full service including the issuing of contract papers. It has taken them until this year (2024) to be able to get to the point of actually issuing contract papers, yet they are now holding the seller and me to ransom by withholding the issuing of contract papers unless I pay 3 times more what I have already paid... I urge all to not use this highly unprofessional and unethical firm.
