Hiring Ben as our wedding cellist was one of the best decisions I made. We did 1 hour wedding ceremony at the SF city hall in Sept 2022. Our ceremony was short enough to end within 30 minutes but Ben stayed and played for the rest of 30 minutest as well during our photo session. If anyone out there is an adult who has always wanted to learn the cello but figured it was too late to start, this review and this teacher are for you. I'm middle aged and finally decided to deal with any anxiety or embarrassment that comes with being an older adult learner because I love the instrument, difficult as it is. In addition, my background is in piano, not strings and it had been so long I had forgotten how to read the bass clef entirely. We did not have a wedding coordinator, and he talked us through the experience of a wedding at City Hall on the fourth floor gallery on a busy Friday afternoon. We were a bit worried how some of the songs would sound with a soloist instead of a trio, for example, but we shouldn't have worried because his music was so beautiful!
