The rooms are tiny (you need to breathe in to get between the bed and the window) - and even though the architects have done their best with quirky art features, it still feels small and plastic and cheap. That said, it was cheap - at $110 a night inc breakfast it was really good value - and the staff were super friendly and efficient. I would stay there again in Bendigo.

Yeah, it was rather nice, though not surprisingly it was also quite small. The idea was to represent the major deities in the Chinese mythology, though there is one that is of particular importance, namely because it is the deities that travellers tended to pay homage too, which shouldn't surprise one when we consider that this is a temple in a foreign land.

So often I would be given a "detour" with my card in Melbourne. This is outrageous behavior, but it sadly does occur all too frequently. Not so in Castlemaine, for there is more than an element of trust within the whole fabric of the fleet. Trust between the drivers and all the their passengers is definately the norm and to my way of thinking, it is carved in stone. I also like it how the drivers are always well-presented and above all friendly despite sometimes being under the pump with the demands people in the community needing such good Taxi service. Needing and getting it delivered from one destination to another safely. One can be definately guaranteed of true professional service with Caastlemaine Taxis.They are only a phone call away.

She then proceeded to tell me about the photos on the wall which showed the pub how it looked in the past, and also told me that there used to be a lady's lounge (at which point one of the old guys blurted out that ladies don't come to the pub anymore). There was a beer garden out the back, but it seemed to be more like a back garden with some tables thrown around, not that it was bad per se, it was just a lot more homely.
