This is like one of the most beautiful landmarks in Riverside in my opinion! It has so much history ! The legacy this man left behind for everyone to enjoy! The construction of this castle! The details are amazing! Through out the castle! It truly is a storybook castle; even though it took 9 years to finish! It was worth it! He designed it to look different than those in Europe; he wanted it a bit Spanish-Moorish and mission revival architecture,so it's pretty amazing! Great meaningful project! Unique architecture in each and every room; I loved the round domed breakfast room'with clouds on the ceiling and the acoustics that made the room sound like a microphone lol and last but not least , it's very own secret passage room! If you wanna see more you have to make an appointment and bring a loved one and tour this beautiful Castle! You will not regret it! read more

This castle in the middle of Riverside is beautiful. I not sure what events are typically held here, but I came here for a wedding for a very religious couple. The property is well maintained and quiet and peaceful. There is a pretty gazebo, a church, a courtyard, and parking on the property. The food and drink served were both good. There is no alcohol or smoking allowed on the property. So if you are considering this venue for a wedding or event where people want to drink and smoke, then this probably isn't your best choice, but for a luncheon or dinner or wedding where you don't want to get wasted and smoke then you're all good :) also when I was at this wedding I heard there is no loud music allowed at your event and no dancing. read more

The Benedict Castle is just minutes from UCR, atop a hill and located in the Canyon Crest area of Riverside, CA. The Benedict Castle not only offers free tours year round, but they also host many different private and public events of proportions large and small. Home to car shows, AYCE breakfast and lunch events, weddings, fundraising events, and seminars, the venue does not get much better than this unless you're comparing it to the Mission Inn. The Benedict Castle Catering Company does a fantastic job of crafting customized dishes for different events. If you look at their Facebook page, you can see some of the things that their chefs and staff put up. I've attended many events here and have been eating here for years - the food will not let you down! They serve in buffet style, family style, or by course. That is not only due to the fact that this is one of Riverside's most revered historical landmarks, but also due to the fact that this property is also owned by Teen Challenge which is a residential recovery program for young men and adults that are focusing on growth and education, and typically alcohol and smoking can inhibit the purpose and position of the program. Most people would never know that Riverside has it's very own castle, and more importantly they have no idea what the good this castle does for individuals and the community. Living near by I have become familiar with only a small portion of the good they do and who they represent. Let's start with Teen Challenge, this is an organization that assists and mentors individuals suffering from a substance addiction. From counseling, mentoring, housing and support in every sense they have become the answer to thousands. Every year I look forward to their pancake breakfast at the castle and other fund raisers. They castle itself is also involved with providing a location and beautiful setting for weddings, private parties and other events. The castle is frequently featured in local magazines and fliers. If your in Riverside it's worth visiting and while your there make a small donation to help them with their awesome work. read more

We celebrated our pastors 25th wedding anniversary and the staff and waiters were so attentive, always with a smile on their faces and willing to roll with whatever was coming. This place is amazing! I cannot go on long enough about it, they have free tours, do so much for the community, and they have amazing events with great staff on hand to help with weddings, luncheons, catering and any event that you may want to have. The staff are amazing, and very helpful! They will help to customize the best setup for your event. The food is outstanding and you can work with the culinary artists here to get what you need from croissant sandwiches to chicken cordon bleu. They have many options for setup and decoration designs for weddings. The waiters are very professional and the place is simply amazing. They also house a second phase men's recovery home where the men have all gone through a several month induction phase in other Teen Challenge locations before moving to this one. They also have amazing worship services, tent revivals and community outreaches. This is truly a unique and awesome place.
