Okay... I don't want to say it... but the pickup food is just so overly pre-prepared. The fried rice is barely fresh tasting, lacking flavor. The rolls are good... but not great and don't seem extremely fresh/high-quality. The hibachi is good. It's a chain. I would go to the other hibachi place in Stuart. The ambience is nice, and service is hit or miss. Could be SO MUCH better for a hibachi Benihana in Sewall's Point. read more

Christmas night 2025. We arrived at the restaurant only to see multiple vehicles circling the area in hopes to find an open space in a jam packed parking lot. There were crowds of people standing outside the entrance, the front doors were wide open, showcasing the "standing room only" scene in the lobby. The hostess explained the call center overbooked the restaurant. They were 45 minutes to an hour behind . I will tell you the entire staff hustled, they're teamwork was like a 'well oiled machine" and I never heard a complaint or negative word come from their mouths!! MAJOR Kudos to the 2 hostesses, the gal running the to-go orders, Downstairs sushi bar TEAM; especially Kristen / server and Joaquin / sushi chef. The Upstairs service TEAM; especially our server Kristen and Chef Byron, and Manager . I am very grateful the majority of other customers around us were supportive and understanding of the staff's circumstances. Again.. WORST experience ever. The hostess didn't walk us to our table so we were standing in the hallway waiting and had to ask a server where to sit who then went and got a hostess to seat us. Then our waiter had zero personality and acted like he didn't want to be there. Our "chef" had no personality and the whole experience was boring and uneventful. The food was mediocre and we could have had better at a take out somewhere. When I called the restaurant after, I had to speak with 2 people before I spoke with the general manager Willis who really could care less and offered me coupons. I declined because we will never go back there. Also- you'd find a nicer, cleaner bathroom at a truck stop. Save yourself time and money and go elsewhere. read more

Haven't been to a Benihana in a long time and with this one located waterfront, it was finally time to go. This place always has a full parking lot so we made reservations, same day, and were excited! They were extremely accommodating with a stroller giving us a seat on the end to park it. Also this location has a wheelchair ramp and elevator. Got a cab which was solid, beer which come in 22oz bottles fyi, and the lychee blossom. Eh-- too much pineapple juice which masked the other flavors but tropical. My mother in law is gluten free so she ordered off the sushi menu and was happy with her veggie and Philly rolls. The edamame was hot and salty to her liking. My husband and I got the land and sea which was filet and scallops and the emperors feast which was filet and chicken. Both came with the soup, salad, shrimp appetizer, and veggies. While the show was great, we came here for some good food and they delivered. The filet was cooked to our liking, medium rare, and tasted so juicy with the mushrooms, zucchini, and onions. Chicken was fine but wouldn't get that again and the scallops were great. Chicken fried rice was quite tasty, so much so the other people at our table ordered three servings to go! All in all excellent food and we will likely be back sooner than later, just got to remember the reservation! read more

Placed an order online. I got some sushi and shrimp fried rice and garlic chicken wings.. lite meal. The sushi was very very fresh!! That was my favorite thing, should have just gotten two orders and been done. The fried rice was straight. The chicken wings were a different story they seem ok at first but in the end they were not good and were dry. I thought the wings were wet to my surprise their fried and dry and lacked flavor. I would visit again, decent location. FYI: After placing an order online, they tell u to text a number and someone would bring it out.. and that u have to show I'd and credit card used .. bunch of malarkey.. We were there for a family birthday and were wedged into a table much too small for 9 people, I'm wondering if they changed up their tempanyaki tables to fit more in the limited space of the restaurant to cram more customers in. Benihana used to have only Asian chefs but no longer, although a local competitor Fujiyama does have them, and their food is so much better. Our chef last night, Beatriz, was basically phoning it in. There was no eye contact and very little of the fanfare that should be included in hibachi dining. The quality of the food has greatly gone down also, especially for the inflated prices. And even though there were several loud birthday acknowledgments by staff while we were dining, our family member got a last-minute hurried song by only two staff members. The restaurant was also dirty and not well-maintained. We have frequented Benihana many times in many locations over the years, but this was our last time. read more

Dinner for our party of six last night left us feeling like we might not ever go back. Upon arrival, two in our party are semi handicapped and as such, used the 2nd floor entrance that is designed for these instances. The gentleman (term used loosely) manning the upstairs seating told the two mobility challenged people that our party would need to take the elevator downstairs and wait. This was unacceptable to these two elders so we remained standing upstairs to wait. We were informed 15 minutes past our reservation time that a table was being readied. Our elderly diner said "ok great we can go sit then?" We were all shocked when the host snapped in the snarkiest tone "No you may not. The table is not clean yet." It's not his point that we took issue with but rather just his incredible rudeness in his delivery. Then we got a server - Ashley -- who quite honestly was also as rude as can be. After taking our orders and bringing our drinks, she told us to flag her over if we needed anything. After a while with our drinks empty and dirty bowls piling up, one in our party did request that she stop by. As soon as she arrived she said "obviously I'm a little busy with other customers" in such a tone that let us know that we were inconveniencing her. This after she suggested that we get her if we needed anything. After the check came, Ashley again, in her rough around the edges way, handed the credit card device to our paying party and literally barked "you need to select the tip for myself and the chef." Just amazing the nerve. On a better note -- The chef was phenomenal and the food was good. The view is lovely as always. The main reason for writing this review is how shocked we were that the host and the server were both impeccably rude. Might need a little more care and consideration of people coming in and paying a pretty sum for their meals. Especially for elderly people - Geesh! Benihana was really good their coke was delicious but they did kept messing up my drink, and the chef was really bad at his job. He kept messing up when doing I'm tricks, and he messed up my steak because he gave it to the wrong person. The food was really fresh especially there fried rice it's awesome! The scenery was so pretty it had a beach in the back too and lots of trees the Japanese ambiance was really fitting and only made the experience better. But the bill was absolutely terrifying!
