The buildings are well-maintained, public areas are clean, and the outside areas are nicely manicured. The management/office staff has been wonderful and they work hard to create a positive and supportive living experience. Definitely worthwhile to check it out. Upon move in, the apartment was clean, and everything worked. Located in a wonderful neighborhood with plenty of parking around the building. I have personally been very happy to live here.

We were on a corner so we didn't share walls with many people- so I have zero noise complaints. The grounds are kept nice and clean. If you love animals/dogs this is definitely the place for you. Reminds me of a petting zoo. The bees/wasps in the summer were absolutely terrible here/ bugs seep in from outside in the entry way all summer long also. Rent everywhere is astronomical- so to live in oak creek I guess we paid the price- $2200 with attached garage. Little steep. Don't plan on getting your security deposit back- we cleaned the apartment and had minimal paint touch up's, etc but still got charged $200 for cleaning and a $45 paint fee for above normal "wear and tare" if I didn't have other significant things going on I'd ask for pictures because that's ridiculous ...they are stealing from people quite frankly -especially considering the ridiculous monthly payments... the response time is slow when you reach out to them (granted there are a lot of tenants) so understandably there may be a delay but... eh. 3/5 seemed appropriate

Drexel Town Square is a great suburban location with all accessible amenities, but with a downtown feel. Restaurants and shops on main Street and a town square with events galore. A Nightmare You Can Avoid... I lived at the Gables for just…read moreover 2.5 years, and while things started off great, they took a nosedive after about a year. Since December, I've had nothing but trouble: sewer backups, a smoking AC/heating unit, and a leaky AC. The new manager, Tara, is all about deflecting problems and passing them up the chain, where they just get ignored. If you're eyeing a one-bedroom in the 285 building, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. You don't want to deal with the mess of sewer backups that have flooded my apartment from the neighbors' waste. It happened to me 2 times--twice when I was home and twice after I caught it before it got worse. After the second incident, I asked for a small rent discount, but it took six months of dealing with these issues before they finally offered a Visa gift card as a lame apology. The whole process was poorly handled. They brought in a plumber who, during a visit, suggested my neighbor might be flushing adult wipes and even discussed trying to evict her in front of me. Totally unprofessional. Tara tried to deny the third incident and complained about the costs of hiring professionals. If you're hiring experts, shouldn't they actually fix the problem? I don't want to hear about how much money it's costing you. Managing an apartment complex means dealing with these issues, whether you handle them yourself or hire someone to fix them. Complaining about costs is just an amateur excuse. It's clear that they didn't want to move me to a new two-bedroom unit because it would've cost them more, and that's the real reason they didn't address the problem properly. On top of everything, garbage pickup is a nightmare, especially in winter. With snow piling up, you're left squeezing your garbage cans to the curb, which takes up more road space. On windy days, trash ends up blowing everywhere making it a dump, and tenants don't always clean up after their dogs. Parking is another issue--nobody follows the no-parking rules on the road. They've also started charging for water, claiming it's a common practice elsewhere, which isn't true. Plus, the workout room equipment is frequently broken, and these "luxury" units are far from luxurious. If you want to live somewhere that actually lives up to its promises and has a management team that knows what they're doing, do yourself a favor and avoid the Gables and check out Coast at Lakeshore.
