I love clambakes! It's a great opportunity to get everyone together, throw some money in a pot and rent some equipment for a very Autumnal dinner. We often go to a friends who's done clambakes before and has always ordered from Bennett Fish. Alas, that will NOT happen again. This year they were over an hour late and when they set up everything, they did so hurriedly and angrily. Everything was set, but things were going a little slower than we'd expected. By about 6 o'clock, we checked and everything was RAW. My friend called up Bennett Fish who's response was "do you have a grill" and "ask your neighbors for a Turkey roaster". Are you kidding me? That's your answer?!? The equipment was malfunctioning. It is supposed to be hot to the touch, steaming the water we were pouring in periodically. Instead, it was just warm. There was some sort of issue with the line because it just never got hot. Turns out we had to grill the chicken, boil corn on the stove, microwave the potatoes...oh, and the clams? The clams never did open after HOURS in the steaming equipment. We had a clam-less, clambake. Horrible customer service. Faulty equipment. Angry delivery people. Order from someone else! read more
