I would say the food was decent. The service is lacking. We sat down and it took about 25 minutes to get waters. There was maybe 3 tables in the restaurant total with people. We ordered our food and it took over an our to get it, and it didn't come out all together. When we ordered our second round of drinks, the bar tender came out and told us she brought the wrong drinks. She attempted to apologizing but dropped a bunch of F bombs in the process of doing so. We made some attempts to get someone's attention. I got tired of begging for service. We gave up and walked out. Drove down the road for some BBQ instead. If you've never been to a Bennigan's chain it's kind of like a TGIFridays or Applebees but some of their drinks have an "Irish" theme but I didn't think the food really did. After being seated no one came for 15 or 20 minutes so we ask someone walking by if they were our waitress and they said no and we said could you please find out who is then we haven't been helped yet. Had to ask for waters twice, 2nd time they brought us a glass of ice with no water and we said there's no water in that. Had to ask for napkins. Didn't bring us enough silverware for everyone at the table. No water refills. They seemed really overwhelmed. It's one of the few restaurants in town open for dinner so they were busy. The 2 young servers we had were genuinely trying really hard to do a good job and very polite and very apologetic. Food took a while but we thought it was good. I got a Caesar salad and the Sriracha shrimp. Rest of the table got a burger and fries, a plant-based burger and fries, and a steak salad. I'm not sure if the management is lacking, or if they forgot how to operate but the food was over cooked, dry and missing the onions. Then they over fried the appetizers, and lastly how could I forget they forgot to flavor the two teas we ordered. We both got a different fruit tea, watermelon and blackberry and they forgot to put in the flavor. I would not come back. For an inaccurate bill, they first charged me over $70 for two sandwiches, drinks and an App. They charged me separately for all apps that were on a sampler. It's a chain. Nothing wrong with that, but with a chain I tend to expect consistency, at a minimum. The only consistency is disappointment with them. Food takes anywhere from 30-45 minutes. Apps arrive literally just before the entrees and are always cold. Cold, deep fried onion rings are gross, in case you wondered. Several times they have been out of ingredients or menu items, even at 11am on a Sunday. Not the end of the day, but immediately at opening time on of of the busiest days for a restaurant. I was hopeful to have an option in town that gave more variety than our local joints, but I'll stick with the local mom and pop places.
