They really don't even deserve this after they treated us the way they have, plus tell people they replaces 15- planks, what a joke anyone that wants to know different is welcome to come by and see for yourself.
Following is a letter I sent them with the final payment. After all this and they still had the nerve to cash the check instead of making sure everything was right. Bad business. It looks like others got help, so why did us seniors not?

To Who It May Concern:
I called Benton Fence to see if they repaired exiting wooden fences. I spoke to Diana who was very nice and the main reason I went with Benton Fence. She made me feel at ease and assured me that their main goal was customer satisfaction. I told her I was a senior and have been taken advantage of before and I didn't want that to happen again. Again she reassured me. She told she would have her sales representative contact me and his name would be Josh.
Josh did call me and we sat a time for him to come out to see what I needed. We went around the fence and he noted warped, split and holes in boards and some posts that needed to be replaced. I told him to give me the total cost for everything that needed to be replaced. He said that the gates needed to be replaced. Several posts was broken and numerous number of boards that needed to be replaced. He figured out a price and came to me and we agreed on it. He said it would be $800.00 to cover the gates, posts and boards that needed to be replaced.
We had to come up with half the money up front so I gave him a check for $400.00 and he said he would have his crew come out and take care of everything.
Few days later my wife saw some men come up and they told her that they were there to repair the fence. She came and told me. I went out there and Rhino the lead man told me he was there to repair the fence. So I left them alone. After awhile I went out to see how things were going and I noticed that they had not replaced everything they were suppose to, one of the 2x4's on the fence had not been replaced and still hasn't as of yet. Instead of replacing the 2x4 and warp boards they pulled them together and stapled them together and it would not hold, so they put screws in the old boards that are already warped to hold together and the screws split two boards. I told them they had to be replaced.
He said he would take care of it. So I left them alone but just before they were leaving I went back out and noticed that one section of the fence was wavy and then I noticed they replace a posts with one that was not even straight. I ask him about this and he said they had no more and they would have to come back. It had been about 4 or 5 days when Josh stopped by on his way to another job to see how everything was and I then told him, it was not completed. He was shocked because he had gotten the work order on his desk saying it was. I took him and showed him what I was talking about and he was upset. He said he would have Rhino come back out and make everything right. Rhino came back out and nailed the fence to make it even. They messed up the neighbors flower bed by stomping on it and didn't even pick up the cement they dropped I was not even aware they had been back out; so I was still waiting when Diana called and asked me if I was happy with the job. I told her that it was not completed. That is when I found out Josh no longer worked there. I talked to both Diana and Lesley and told them my problem and that I needed someone to come out and see what was going on. Diana said she would have one of the owners come out Again she and Lesley also assured me everything would be to my satisfaction. After a couple of days Tommy came. I showed him, He put red markings on the ones that should of been replaced. I also showed him the flower bed and he made a comment that he didn't approve of that.
Showed him the 2x4 that was rotten at the bottom in flower bed had not been replaced. He said he didn't know how they would install a 2x4 there. Then I took him over to the gate where it looked like something had been removed. He looked insulted and told me that they sawed the nails off so I wouldn't be poked by them like I should have known that. I told him if any additional things needed to be done to figure up a price and get back with me. He said I will get back with you this afternoon or tomorrow, I as of yet not heard from him or anyone else, other then getting a bill for the balance due. I am sending that amount but I must say that customer satisfaction was not done here. I am very disappointed and once again I felt like I was taken advantage of. So much for people's assurance of customer satisfaction I will not recommend Benton Fence Company to anyone and I will report this to "BBB" read more
