There are many ski areas and of course walking and cross country ski areas in Filzmoos. Depending on your level you can go up to one of these areas using a chair lift, gondola and so on. The ski Amade is the premier place with the Papageno gondola to the top. The view from up there is truly spectacular and supposed to be one of the best in the country and officially the best in Salzburger Land. It's truly amazing and we took a 10-11k walk in the snow up top and at 1755m you have a gorgeous old Karhütte with one table and a mean hot chocolate mixed with cherry rum. If you don't speak German getting information up top is a bit more tricky. I would highly recommend a trip to the top and have a good look around it's truly amazing. read more
