This store is absolutely disgusting and should be ashamed of their delivery practices. ROTATING OLD…read moreROTTEN INVENTORY THROUGH DELIVERY CUSTOMERS. I have been ordering Whole Foods delivery for "convenience" and dealing with it for far too long due to a busy schedule. It's quite literally a gamble on which rotten item or mismatched product you will get this order. Over the last few months I have opened chickens that will literally make you gag and stink up your entire apartment maybe 3 times now. I have received literal molded cheese visible through the packaging. The garlic is always yellow and mushy with mold on it (Also visible through the package). Their "butchers" will send you whatever they want and call it something else aka "beef stir fry" sent as long strips of London broil. Then they roll it up so tight in packaging that it's grey and oxidized by the time you receive it. I have ordered 3-4 pound pork shoulders and receive 2.5 pounds of fat with a few chunks of meat thrown in.(All fat-cap and mismatched cuts). They are quite clearly rotating their stock through delivery customers. Knowing good and well it is no longer edible. The substitution? I ordered 2 bulbs of fresh fennel and was swapped for a rotten bag of green beans! I ordered black garlic and was given Jar-lic which has no place in my household. Then there are the items that are completely missing. 20 dollar olive oils, entire chickens (probably were rotten anyway) it's absolutely disgusting at this point. The management needs to be completely redone. The standards are so below average that it's offensive and abusive to the customers. This place needs a class action lawsuit held against it for their practices. I am going to do my best to escalate this to corporate, as it's gone way too far to have nothing done about it through standard customer service- aside from issuing refunds.

I'm *trying* to get better at reviewing my local businesses that I frequent that aren't just food…read morespots! So here we goooo.... A few steps from journal square, is my favorite grocery store within a 2 mile radius (yes, they just built a target- but still a lot of the prices are still in the same range anyway!). I'm always greeted by the friendly tall guy- who is either playing security or just running the floor to make sure things go smoothly- and making his staff laugh. The cashiers are always very patient and friendly. The produce section prices are what I would compare to Walmart prices essentially- which is great for being so local to a big transportation hub, while still being a smaller business. I usually get my sparking water here (bottles, specially Saratoga springs, because they don't have it at a ridiculous price!). They have a lot of Mediterranean import products, so if you're an olive lover stop in. 5/5 I'm here 1-3x a week

Sub-Hub is a relatively new mini-supermarket Journal Square. Although it is a bit on the small…read moreside, with just 4 long aisles, they have a sufficient variety of produce, meats and fish, and even a frozen foods section. So far, I have found most of their produce to be fresh and well-priced. Otherwise, ost of their groceries are a bit pricey and on par with Shop rite in many cases. However, they often have very good sales - you can find them list on a digital display in front or by the price tags inside. Note that the best sale items typically sell out fast and they won't restock it. Overall, sub-hub is one of the better grocers in the area, especially if you prefer a modern and clean market to shop.
