The buildings are covered in ivy and flowers and walking up the hill to go to the gardens through the medieval little town is phenomenal in and of itself. The garden is a world of it's own. You step into another dimension when you enter. It is peaceful and beautiful. You could spend hours in there discovering all the hidden secrets the garden has to offer. It is amazing how they set up this garden for the 5 senses. It has the aviary in the middle and the for touch they have plants with all different kinds of textures. Smell is not just fragrant flowers, but also plants that smell once you have rubbed the leaves. I really enjoyed this place. Great view of the castle from here as well. If your ever in Yvoire definitely check out this place.

The garden has been remade as the garden would have been for the food and medicines of the castle that is in Yvoire..the castle is right next door, however, it is a private residence so you can only tour their garden, gotta love Europe for the whole castle thing, right? Needless to say its very interesting to see how a garden was set up for the day/time and you can hear the birds, smell the flowers, (the plants that smell like coca-cola), taste some herbs, see the flowers and plants, and touch some as well. You can walk through it, sit on a bench and just relax there for a while.

Yes, I usually stop at cafes and bars for my second-wind, but sometimes, I have to check out the serenity of the local parks. This park is redic. Just look at my pics and wish that you, too, had an opportunity to get tired from gadding around Switzerland and chillaxin at this park. Be like Louis R, travel to Switzerland.

Yelp Review 2026 #177:…read more A park that's easy to get to. There's a tram stop right in front of this park. There's a cafe. There are people playing games like bocce ball. Unfortunately, it was pouring when we were here and it quickly turned to hail. If you've ever experienced getting hit by hail, you know it's not a pleasant experience. That dampened my mood. My sister wanted to see the Reformation Wall and her map kept giving her wrong directions exposing us to hail while I just wanted to stay under the protection of the trees. The map wanted us to get out of the park, walk uphill, enter a gate which is the entrance of the same park! So, stay inside the park and keep walking away from the main entrance and you'll find the Reformation Wall to your left. You can't miss is. It has bas-relief and giant statues of important Reformation leaders such as John Knox, John Calvin, etc. Was it worth getting pelted by hail? Not really. Did I spend money to see it? No. If the sun was out, I'd imagine myself enjoying this park.
