Our room had a huge balcony, which was such a nice touch. Breakfast was also very good with a large selection and plenty of choices. A couple things to know--the hotel does not have air conditioning, so keep that in mind depending on when you visit. The parking garage is VERY tight, especially with an SUV or larger vehicle. I would definitely recommend letting the hotel know ahead of time if you're bringing a bigger car. The bathroom was spacious, but the shower setup was a little strange. It's a shower/tub with only a half-glass panel, but the showerhead is positioned more toward the middle, so water splattered everywhere when showering. Definitely not the best design! Overall, though, we really enjoyed our stay. Amazing service, great breakfast, a huge balcony, and pet friendly as well!

When you enter, you have to get a waiter's attention to be seated since you do not enter straight into the dining room. However, both times we went there were plenty of free tables and we were seated right away. Service was quite good both times. It was efficient, but not rushed. Between two of us, we tried several different dishes and everything was quite good. Next time I go back to Zell am See, I definitely plan on eating here again. I understand why when we asked for a lunch recommendation at our hotel, this was the first place that was suggested.

The staff is incredible and the owners are very involved in the day to day operation of the hotel. They have succeeded in striking a perfect balance between being small enough to know all their guests and interact with them and being big enough to have all the comforts of a 5 star Hotel. In the winter you can use their ski rental service and buy your lift tickets through them. The ski bus, which is free of charge, stops across the street to take you to the Schmitten bottom station. I f there is enough snow, you can ski down from the hotel to another Gondola, called CityExpress and ski right back to the Hotel by taking the Ski way next to the Schmitten bottom station. Of course before you ski, you need a good breakfast which they do very well, including a fresh egg/omelet station, after skiing they offer Après Ski snacks and then Dinner is phenomenal.
