Their ideas for the shop has been built around their passion for travel, good food and wine and, they have gone to painstaking lengths to source products that are from very small producers, products that are "slow food" certified and also free of additives. They have a range of really tasty roasted hazelnuts from Piedemonte, Chocolate bars and chocolate coated nuts, unusual oils like tomato seed oil and chilli seed oil, schnapps, high quality spices and spice gifts, various salts and a wonderful assortment of baked goods like biscotti, Lebkuchen, Stollen, other Italian biscuits and baked savory and sweet pasta snacks. Their shop is only open once a week however they do sell at fairs and markets and also online. Elke and Andreas the owners are always on the look out for new and unique products to sell. We tasted all the baked goods today and I was in love with the Amareti and Biscotti and some of the other baked goods I tried :-)) I could happily spend a ton of money here :-))

It's quite small compared to the Spars in the bigger cities and villages. I've never had a problem finding anything in the store. Just a smaller selection of products compared to your bigger stores. The store is very clean , very friendly staff and not from the center of Kössen. It is located right beside the Tourism Office and near the Kössen Fire Station. You can see signs in the Village that state where the Spar is located. I highly recommend the amazing cafe in the store. Great selection of breads, Coffee, Desserts and cold drinks. The staff that maintain the Cafe are all very friendly and take a lot of pride in their work. Great place for breakfast, lunch and afternoon drinks. You won't be disappointed by your visit to both the store and cafe. It should be noted I am originally from Dublin, Ireland, lived in the United States Of America for over thirty years and served all over the world with the United States Marines. I definitely know a Great Super Market and Cafe from all my Travels around the world and life experiences. The super market and cafe rates five stars and more! I definitely will be returning in the near future! As stated in the above you won't be disappointed.

It's €1.10 for a scoop which is great value and the portion is quite generous. We had quite a few different flavours here and enjoyed them all. I absolutely loved the dried fig gelato and ended up going back for another scoop :-) A great place for a scoop of ice cream when in town. They have a large selection and they also have a drinks menu in case you want something else besides gelato.
